ElBarrioJets
All in all a weird draft. 2 starters who should see a solid amount of playing time this year (McDonald, Tippman), role players/special teamers (Abanikanda, Barnes, Bernard-Converse) and 2 redshirt guys who have potential (Warren, Kuntz). UDFAs could still make a case for the roster at slot WR, DT, S.
32EBoozer
Are the Jets allowed to start calling UDFA or are teams continually in contact with agents/players throughout the Draft?

Yeah, they will start calling guys and setting up potential FA deals. If the guys end up getting drafted, the deals aren't concluded.

He is big and super fast - he MAY be the FS we have desperately been needing. Could he be our Kerry Rhodes?

Beerfish
I would guess they are not allowed to call until the draft is over because they these guys could still get picked and need to be available to hear from the teams that draft them. They will be going over their list of players though and have a bit of a jump in being able to make calls very quickly after the draft is over. The Jets in the last few years have not been afraid to pay up to get the UDFA's they like though offering more money than other teams. That could lead to players to say something to drafting team to get them not to pick; nfs is all about protecting the teams ability to draft. Popular Post Warfish
I would target these guys first and foremost: Hunter Luepke (FB) 6'1" 230 lbs North Dakota State 1 POS RK 233 OVR RK Pre-Draft Analysis Luepke is a downhill, between-the-tackles rusher who runs behind his pads, has outstanding determination and can break multiple tackles. He's a reliable receiver who tracks the ball and has the body control to adjust and pluck balls out of the air. A fundamentally sound blocker who can shoot his hands and block to the whistle, he is on the smaller side for a fullback prospect and needs to get stronger. -- Steve Muench Adam Korsak (P) 6'1" 187 lbs Rutgers 2 POS RK 292 OVR RK Pre-Draft Analysis Korsak is a three-time team captain and the 2022 winner of the Ray Guy Award. He broke the school record for the fourth straight year and set an NCAA record with a net punt average of 45.25 in 2021. Korsak led a unit that held opponents to minus 11 return yards, the best in the nation, with just one positive return against 75 attempts in 2022. At one point, he had a streak of 150 consecutive punts without a touchback. -- Steve Muench

Tony The Wiz
Jets should bring in one of my wideouts sleepers. I watched him in the black colleges all star game. He is fast and has great hands. Hey Mr. Douglas get on the phone and get this guy in. His name is Xavier Smith. He is 5'9" and runs a 4.38 forty and catches everything. He plays for Florida A&M. Rolloffjet
They should be able to call players before they are drafted! Who’s to say we can’t like a player enough to trade back into 7th and give up a pick next year for it.

HawkeyeJet
I cannot believe Kaevon Merriweather from my Hawkeyes did not get draft. I think most saw him as a 4th/5th Rd player safety. Great ball skills, physical, smart and one of the best leaders the programs has ever seen. I think he seems like the quintessential Douglas makeup.
