Athletically gifted and lack of game experience, don’t go hand in hand. In fact, other than our 1st round pick, our draft is made up a ton of experienced guys, older, and top performers, especially day 3.

True Story.  I was on a tour at Penn State with my daughter and her volleyball team a few years back while they were playing at a tournament there.  We met the coach, who was a legend for having built am amazing program there. 

He said when he arrived there something like 30 years before, he had no players yet so he walked around campus and asked every tall girl he could find to throw a ball to him.  If they could, demonstrating at least some dexterity, he asked them to try out for the team.

Apparently it worked.  They had pretty much the winningest program for the next 40 years.

isnt this like Sherwood and Hamclair? i dont remember there RAS score but weren't they athletic enough that they wanted to switch them from Safety to LB? 

i think the ST coach will be happy with these new bodies, dont think anybody but the Center and Macdonald make a contribution this year.

No, just that these RAS scores are limited insight into their capabilities as football players.

I like good athletes and surely think those numbers matter - but if this is the only thing or even primary data point driving these late picks - it's not necessarily a great strategy.
