It's how I teach my kids to address adults. Yes sir and yes ma'am.

If these kids are from the south, it's pretty common. Teachers in school teach kids to address adults this way.

Then the 7th round was perfect for him.  This will be a redshirt year and he'll need to watch and learn behind CJ and Conklin.  Ruckert has one season under his belt in terms of development.  This is the year Ruckert needs to step up and earn snaps over the two veterans.  Kuntz will be in the Ruckert role from last year most likely.  Needs to improve his blocking and run more precise routes.  If he can get protection down and run predictable routes then he'll see the field a bit this season.

These conversations are pretty much proof that Woody was completely behind the Rodgers trade.

Awkward but necessary.  Imagine you are a kid coming out of college, and your dream is to play in the NFL.  You know that getting drafted gives you a much better shot of making an NFL team, and you are now halfway through the final round of the draft, and your name has yet to be called.  Not only are you beginning to feel that your shot is almost over, but you got your family and friends sitting with you, all hoping that your dream of making it to the NFL comes to fruition.  You know you got the chance to being an undrafted free agent, but you know that is a crapshoot, and that being drafted is a huge edge over players who are brought to the team undrafted.

Out of nowhere,  you get the phone ringing, and the Jets are telling you that they are excited to draft you, and welcome to the NFL.  When this kid said he was jacked up, I have no doubt that he was ready to run through a brick wall at that moment.
