Nice job Sarge.  Glad to see the optimism re the new kids.

I'm hoping Kwon rejoins the LB corps but we can wait and see what the newbies bring to the table.

Think of the roster 3 years ago and try to tell me JD hasn't transformed the team!

The roster spot goes to Knight.

Tough call to make at least sitting here today. The RB corps needs another body that isn't an injury risk or recovering from a serious injury. Knight has playtime and while not great, wasn't catastrophically bad. 

OTOH if ZW doesn't look like at least a competent backup, it's dangerous to risk Boyle getting picked up. Either Strev is the #3--which he proved he isn't--or Douglas has to go hunting for a backup in the middle of the season. Neither is great.

He didn't play much but Strev's arm is kind of the end of his story in my book.

Are you predicting Mitchell gets hurt?

I would expect him over Schweitzer.

Mims is fine as a backup. I expect him to make the 53 man roster.

The rest looks good to me. JD needs to get Kwon back on this team. Solomon Thomas would x out in that scenario.

I like the list but feels like a few guys might make the roster, under the radar:

FB/RB/ST - Nick Bawden - Coming off injury, he would be the only big RB on the roster. We have the speed guys. Need a power guy. I think he would be the 4th RB over Bam, who is another guy under 6' . Breece is a beast, but having Izzy now and a slower version of him in Michael Carter, (Michael is more of a pass catching RB than Izzy). The RB room needs some size. Rodgers has always had a big back.

WR - Xavier Gipson - Although I do agree that TJ Luther should make the team as purely a ST/KR type, Xay has a huge amount of slot experience. He is a slightly slower version of Mecole Hardman, so he might end up on the PS, but they did give him a guaranteed salary, so they will keep him in some capacity. I also think Jason Brownlee has an outside shot at making the roster, especially if Corey Davis is cut, which is very possible. Lazard has the connection with Rodgers and is definitely the starter opposite Wilson, but if Davis is healthy, he can play somewhere in the NFL. Personally I have seen enough of him. But Davis gone might also mean Mims stays, but he has no use on ST. The Jets brought in some useful WRs to compete. That 6th WR spot should be interesting.

LB/S Hybrid room - The Jets have a ton of basically the same player - Jamie Sherwood - Hamsah Nasirldeen - Zaire Barnes and all 3 UDFA LB/S signings - Cherelus/Hall/Johnson - All speed LB/S hybrids. Great for special teams, but which guys make the roster or PS, who knows. I doubt any of them see much playing time other than ST, especially if we have Kwon. If we don't, Barnes seems like the guy who might be given a chance to see the field as a LB. Wouldnt be surprised if one of those guys mentioned is converted to purely a safety.

Totally different players. Luther is a ST/KR/PR speed guy - Mims is not. This would be the reason Luther makes the roster. They have 2 better versions of Mims, in Allen Lazard and Corey Davis. I think Mims only stays if Davis is gone. Maybe not even then.

Bryce Hall - 3 million for a guy that was inactive most of last season? No thank you - bye bye. Save the money for a more useful player.

I love Bam and I hope he sticks around, but I think Izzy takes his spot and Bam is on the PS, unless there is an injury. They will not keep 3 smaller RB's behind Breece Hall. I think they need to keep a bigger RB.

Not to pile on about this but signing Cobb really makes no sense, we need special teamer in that spot. Also, DT is thinnn. Quinnen about to get a lot of playing time. 
 

I would be surprised if Breece wasn’t on PUP list for first 6 weeks. Bam knight going to make final roster.
