A cornerback at LSU who played safety at Oklahoma State, the Jets chose Bernard-Converse with the 204th overall pick in last week’s draft.  The 6′ 1” 205lb Bernard-Converse is listed as a cornerback on the Jets official site, but getting some run at safety should be in the cards.

The Jets traded a 7th round pick for former Raven Chuck Clark to join Jordan Whitehead, Tony Adams and Ashtyn Davis in the secondary but neither Whitehead nor Davis lived up to expectations in 2022.  In fact, Whitehead was tied for 8th in the NFL among safeties with 17 missed tackles according to PFF.

LOL none of this ever really matters. All of the Jets draft pick will eventually sign. But kudos to JBC for being the first rookie to officially don the green and white.

Or whatever our colors are these days.
