Did the Jets ever get a punter? Him not being there is wild considering the charges.

Yes

The system worked he was accused and then cleared by the DA in December

No matter what, he’ll still be a controversial signing, fair or not. People will forget, but I’m sure most teams don’t want to deal with the distractions associated with him, especially given his position. While punters are important, outside of long snapper, it’s the least valued position on a team. He’ll go somewhere, but his demand will be much lower than it should be given his potential.

Bro. The police were listening when he told the girl to get tested or whatever it was.

lock / dump

What does that have to do with not being at the party? This is a fair thread considering the outcome and considering how bad the Jets punting situation has been.

Well that’s on her and you can’t stop people from making accusations unfortunately.  But this isn’t like cases we’ve seen where the DA sees there’s no crime but continues moving forward with charges.  They investigated and threw the case out months ago.

Not sure he feels that way, considering he lost his job because of it....not to mention his reputation.

He was at the party, just left when the accuser claims she was raped.

Though I do believe she had sex with him and his buddies.  Just no proof it was forced.

No, but you can prosecute & severely punish them for doing so... which the DA's NEVER do... "That" IS the Main reason this continues.

I feel bad, really sucks.  But hard to stop someone from making accusations, right or wrong.

Because then no one would ever accuse someone of rape whatever for fear if there wasn’t enough proof they’d be prosecuted.
That’s the main reason

Then Too Bad... The Justice System is built on the foundation that they would rather have a guilty party set free than to jail an innocent man.

RIGHT...his name gets dragged through the mud, he loses his job, he is a headline and gets "canceled" and now he is cleared and it will barely be mentioned in the news....the innocent part of the isnt juicy enough to be interesting.

Horrible.  Sad that his life was ruined.  Tough situation because it does happen and you feel bad for the victims but it also happens the other way when stories are made up for whatever reason.  Then lives are ruined because in these situations you are guilty until proven innocent and not the other way around.
