After the NFL’s Scouting Combine in Indianapolis in early March, the Hampton, Georgia, native revealed he’s currently dealing with not one but two labral hip tears, which has limited his mobility and resulted in pain when he moves. 

‌Looking to solidify his spot in the upcoming NFL Draft, Dean has opted to battle through his injury – an ailment that more than likely will require surgery, and an extensive recovery period, for Dean to fully recover.

It didn’t stop Dean from showcasing Thursday what he could bring to an NFL organization. 

He improved upon his time in the 40-yard, clocking a 4.69 inside the IPF – a slight yet noticeable improvement from the 4.75-second 40-yard dash Dean recorded in his second attempt in Indianapolis. Dean also performed the best of any UF athlete Thursday in the three-cone drill with a time of 6.58 seconds.
