This is the first time in well over a decade I have the Jets at >50% chance to make playoffs

10 to 14 wins. 

Going 3-3 in the division is not going to cut it. We need to win at least 4 if we want a chance at division.

It’s so hard to say. They still need to play the games. The first few games can go either way. Teams are just starting to get in sync so the jets could either go 1-3 or 3-1. It’ll be great if they come out of the gate fast but this team seems to have a history of believing their press clippings so they go into a late season swoon. Hopefully there’s enough leadership on the team to keep them in focus.  As for the schedule, only KC and Philly should be really tough games but even there, the Super Bowl teams seem to fall off the season after their appearance in the show.  It looks like it’s going to be a fun season.

first few weeks are definitely tough but it's nice to look at the schedule and have to think about some of the games as opposed to the last decade plus of just chalking up automatic losses against any decent teams. I'm sure they'll find a way to upset me anyway

probably a wildcard team, although I do think we have a shot at the division if things come together. Buffalo is still the favorite, IMO

I think we go 11-7, thats enough for playoffs.

Will it be enough for the division? I don't think so, but the Bills have pressure for the first time in a couple of seasons, and I don't think they're as strong. Mentally... after what's happened in the postseason in the last couple of seasons, they need a big bounce.

Despite not knowing how long we got AR8 for, I feel there's no pressure on us.

QB is the most important position in any sport and that importance is only growing. The 2nd most important position in sport (IMHO) is point guard. Both are the highest-paid positions on average in their respective sports.

• Point Guards on average make 5.8% more than the 2nd highest position (Power Forward).
• QBs make on average 150% more than the 2nd highest position (Wide Receiver). Without a salary cap, I'd expect that number to be even larger. Interesting sidenote, just looking at the average salary of QB2s -- it's 71% higher than the WR average.

I am thinking if the last game of the season means something and the Pats are out of it, we will win. Who knows the outcome, if the game is meaningless. Hope we sweep them too but week 18 is the worst week of the year to predict.

I can see anything between 9-13 wins. 9 wins is the absolute floor barring catastrophic injury, 11 is likely, 13 is possible

I'm not going to predict which games we're winning or losing.  I will say this though.  We won 7 games last year with crap under center.  We have improved significantly with that position and IMO that should give us a few more wins minimum.  And if we improve on defense in the turnover department, I see a couple more wins there as well.  I'm predicting playoffs and we'll see how far we go once we get into the arena.  Schedules are what they are and if you want to be the best, you beat the best.

You have me all wrong.  Yes, I have my reservations and concerns, but now that he is here I'm a Rodgers fan.   I root for the laundry and have for almost 60 years. Unlike many posters, I would much much much rather be wrong about an opinion and see the Jets win than be proven right.  I would never root against Rodgers and the Jets (the exceptions being in the "tanking"  seasons when losses were better for the long term success of the team).  Yes, I would lose my mind if your predictions are right - with joy and happiness.
