Popular Post Beerfish
His win loss record as a gm is worse than McCagnan and Idzik so far. For all the hype now going into this year, if things go badly this season it'll very likely cost him his job.
Popular Post hawk
The roster is infinitely better than it has been in years if not decades. That is his job. Win and losses is the coaches. 9
Bronx
He has proven nothing. Without Aaron Rodgers, he would have been very uncomfortable riding the season with a career backup QB.
Alex G
JD’s done a lot of good here and would’ve already gotten an extension had he not lit the 2nd overall pick on fire in 2021. Fortunately, his 2022 draft looks to be historically good which should do him wonders when it comes to extension talks, assuming Saleh and Co. are competent and can finally help lead this team to the playoffs this year.

We don't know what he would have done in a different scenario. Sent from the NY Jets /Zack Wilson Suicide Watch desk.

Warfish
JD’s new contract is TBD based on this season coming, IMO. He will not go into 2024 as a lame duck on a final year of his existing deal.

I think so too Nut.....We point to that one miraculous year with Fitzpatrick, but a lot of stars aligned to make it happen. You throw that season out, and we have been bad for a LONG time. THAT SAID.....at some point, we have to start winning games and getting to the playoffs. Joe Douglas' good will and improvement at drafting will at some point have to result in winning seasons and playoff appearances, with shots at the Super Bowl as the ultimate litmus test. If that doesn't happen, Joe Douglas not only will NOT get a 10-year extension but will be looking for work in about two more years.

But I’m not going to hold him to the fire for Gase and the lack of talent he was handed and having to gut them so he could rebuild the mess Macc left him.

Without his last couple of drafts and FA signing we don’t hear that Rodgers only would play for Jets. Because he sees the roster, saw the players in GB. So let’s hold Rodgers wanting to play this team against the GM who put this roster together the last 2 years. The GM who Rodgers has sighted as the reason he loved the idea of playing for this team Then again, no matter the thread, the subject you just have to bring up Zach. And yeah the team isn’t better than the shlt Macc left him
