Jeremy Ruckert; the Future.

When Ruckert comes on this year (and he will, ultimately replacing Uzomah by october) and J. Johnson balls out (as OTAs have also suggested), then our 2022 draft class will be--

  • Sauce
  • G. Wilson
  • J. Johnson
  • Breece Hall
  • Jeremy Ruckert
  • Max Mitchell
  • Michael Clemons

That has a chance to go down as the best draft class in franchise history

NFL history. With the Droy, Oroy, another Oroy candidate if not NFL MVP candidate on offense before injury and a bunch of other A- / B+ ‘s..that have started or contributed…

Gotta admit ...

If this kid goes from zero to hero ... no one will be more delighted than me.  To have one catch in your freshman outing, to becoming a prolific part of the offense would be a mind boggling achievement ... especially since Kuntz may have more ability and will certainly get looks.

Love for a hometown kid to become legend.

The next George Kittle.  But unless there is an injury, his true breakout will not be until next year.

This is the most insane reaction to TE getting slightly better I have ever heard. The guy barely played and now he is going to be a top 3 TE? So insane

Umm, Even without Ruckert or Johnson hitting... This is the best draft class they have ever drafted.

A better analogy would’ve been Kittle, who appeared in one game as a rookie with no stats before breaking out as a sophomore and never looking back.

Ruckert blew away Kittle’s rookie season with one catch for 8 yards. He’s going full beast mode this year. No other possible outcome.

Did the lawyers advise you to add a disclaimer to any positive thought you might have, or do you just do that on your own?

Well, when people are making declarative statements with nothing to support other than hopes...I think it's deserving of some caveat.

I loved the pick, but he barely saw the field last year.

Already declaring he's the next breakout TE star is kinda silly.

FTFY

(OK, no, this won't top the 1974 Steelers. But it would be in the "top 10 in NFL history" discussion if the above happens and Wilson, Sauce, and Breece continue their current paths)

I mean, the 1974 Steelers draft had four HoFers (Swann, Lambert, Webster, Stallworth)

Was gonna say the same.  It's already probably the best draft in Jets history(2000 is the only one I can remember that can compare, but the only guy who was a "star" from that draft IMO was Abraham - this draft already has 3 if you count Breece).  If JJ reaches his potential and Ruckert breaks out, it'll be up there as an "all-time" NFL draft.

Not a draft pick but we might also group in Tony Adams, who looks to have a legit opportunity to win the starting free safety job.

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets doesn’t happen without this draft class.
