Slipping and sliding: players wore the wrong cleats during the superbowl

So Mr Bronx - what does this have to do with the Jets? We play in next season’s Super Bowl but didn’t quite make it to the most recent one. Maybe your thinking that the Jets wear the wrong cleats most of the time so your referencing the Super Bowl. Good call buddy!

Don’t these teams know wha,t Cletus they need to wear for the field conditions? As I recall there were championship games in the sixties where teams had to change Cletus in the middle of the game. And we’ve seen how  adverse field conditions can impact a team as in the jets mud bowl game. In that game I recall jets oline men being pushed and leaving skid marks on the turf because they had no traction.

In the mud bowl they could have worn railroad spikes as cleats and they still would have had no traction

I saw or read something about the fact that every SB that has been played in that stadium has suffered from poor field conditions.
