Belichick on the hot seat?

Recommended Posts

Kraft would be nuts to bounce Belichick. Him and TB12 are the only reasons the Patriots are considered to be the franchise they are today. And if he hasn't learned anything, Belichick is a vengeful SOB. If Kraft was crazy enough to put a playoff mandate on him and fire him after this upcoming 6-11 season, Belichick may never say the word Patriots again. The ring of honor, hall of fame speech, everything is in jeopardy. He will only consider himself an ex-Browns coach. Kraft should do the right thing and allow Belichick to set the all-time loss record as the Patriots coach

Since the separation of Brady and BB, it’s pretty clear Brady was the main reason for most (not all) of those championships. Hard to know how many he would have won without Brady and without cheating. My guess is maybe 1.

BB is a good overall coach and a great defensive coach. He’s a terrible GM which will likely be his undoing.

QB is the most determinative element of a football team’s success or failure. Belichick has a better W/L record without Brady than Joe Walsh had without Montana or Young. It’s very difficult to win in this league with below average QB play.

What a great ending this would be. Robert Kraft ending things by firing Belichick.

Then Kraft has his Leon Hess moment and says I want to win now. The buck stops with me as he introduces the modern day RIch Kotite 2.0.

That will be Josh McDaniel after the Raiders fire him - just like former OC Kotite was brought back to the Jets after the Eagles canned him.

Cmon, the bellichicken is over 70 and he has a qb who isn’t quite as good as he needs to be. Of course people are saying he’s going to be bounced.  I don’t think so mainly because Kraft seems to be pretty loyal and the bellichicken made him tons of money. I think the bellichicken is trying to achieve the all time win record. It’s doubtful he gets this season with the talent on his team.  Maybe. Some of those patsie teams were better than just having Brady.

sudden realization oh i see GIF

Bill Obrien is excellent.  QB who is accurate and doesnt turn the ball over.  Super Bowl wining reciever in Juju.  Dynamic, 2nd year receiver in Thornton who is about to explode onto the scene.  Solid oline.  Heck of a young rb in Stevenson.  Stud tight ends in Henry and Geisiki.  A bellichek defense.

The Pats are the team to worry about.

I despise BB, but this is nonsense.

Brady wasn't the reason the Pats won the first 3 Super Bowls, and especially the first one.

Brady became elite about 5 or 6 seasons into his career.

Give credit....Pats' defense was scarry over much of that run. They're the reason we can't crush WRs going over the middle anymore. For one of their SBs, that was their entire game plan....smash every WR going out on a rout, especially over the middle. Hit them hard and often, then hit them again.

It worked.

Pats may be better than we all hope, but Bills and Miami are also dangerous teams. This division is a meat grinder. No game can be looked past.

I said Brady was the main factor for the chips but “not all”. Cheating and BB were the other factors.

I also said BB would have won one without Brady and cheating. My post also acknowledge that it’s hard to determine that.
