Mekhi Becton “day to day” as Knee Keeps him out of Practice

Recommended Posts

This oline could be the downfall of this team, how do they fix it at this point?  Is brown going to be ready?  Will there be a Morgan Moses available?  Or like another thread AVT to LT and play Tippmann and McGovern.  Rodgers going to have to get rid of the ball quickly.

Zach Wilson's numbers are not going to look great this offseason with the  LT situation, devaluing any trade value.

Giving some insight to a desk jockey. You're welcome. Don't let it hurt too much.

Oh no random dude on the internet had no coherent response to my point and insulted me. I hope I recover

Follow Brandon Thorn. He’s the o-line guru. He just put out his almanac. Basically the jets line is experienced, big and athletic and he thinks they may have a break out year.

It took just one padded practice for Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton to land in the player rehab area at practice today.  We can’t blame you if that fact made you roll your eyes, but this is a major concern for Gang Green.

With a healthy Becton, one could argue that the Jets have a pair of quality starting tackles with him and Duane Brown.  Without Becton, the Jets would be down to Brown and presumably Max Mitchell or Billy Turner.   In considering the fact that every tackle on their roster has had recent durability issues, one realizes how quickly this situation could deteriorate.

Top current free agent tackles per NFL trade rumors:

Taylor Lewan
George Fant
Eric Fisher
Ty Nsekhe
Jason Peters
Marcus Cannon

Should the Jets look to add more depth via free agency, there’s not a whole lot to choose from.  According to NFL Trade Rumors, the top remaining names on the market include the oft-injured Taylor Lewan, former Jet George Fant and Eric Fisher, Ty Nsekhe, Jason Peters and Marcus Cannon.

Your words sting hard. You hurt me. Truly.

Great thread. Curious why you went with raw pasta and not dry ?  Dry was the better choice

waiting for your reply to Hall and Brown

All jokes aside this could be a nothingburger or this could spell big trouble for the jets.

While I don’t think they were relying on him this year, having him out puts a ton of pressure on the depth at T and lowers the overall talent level. Especially with what Becton can bring in the run game.

If true, day to day is never ‘good’.
