Playing against scrubs 77 does not look all that impressive.  And they really held him to 7 snaps.  I'm more concerned now than I was before.   Seems like he'll never amount to much.  I now expect he'll be the #1 back up swing tackle on the depth chart.  How the hell is LT still a position of weakness faster all we've invested.

JD is on his 4th year--yet hasn't found a long term solution for the blind side--regardless being labeled a subject matter expert.

Duane Brown, 37, played through multiple injuries last year, including a shredded shoulder that required surgery after the season.

yeah seems to me 77 doesn't have the right stuff.  Hell I'd never make it in the NFL but I know that about myself.  He wanted this or else he wouldn't be here and he just isn't NFL material.

Uh, what did you see that was concerning? I agree it's  meaningless but you said he didn’t look impressive.

I think with the weight loss he no longs feels that  he can push people around  like he used to and it shows.   Maybe it's just be but I've taken a dislike to this player.

Yeah because two knee injuries, two blown knees are the same as a partial rotator cuff tear .
Thing is you’re right about yourself playing in the NFL and right now the whipping boy is well on his way towards starting.

Did you actually watch the tape?

The guy checked himself out (again) after 7 snaps. No way can he be a starter or the 1st backup in line. No way.

He checked himself out again?

I was under the impression it was a pre-planned exit.

Proof of this?

Nevermind I found it in the NY Post.

I think you need to look at the tape again because he was pushing Clevelands defenders all over the place.

"That turf isn't friendly for people with my size and my type of injury," said 6-foot-7, 350-pound Becton, who had two surgeries on his right knee. "I was feeling it in warmups, so I pulled myself a little earlier. I'm good, though"

That's fine, it's the 1st preseason game.   That being said, that kind of turf isn't going away, and being a man his size isn't going to change.

I think you need to if you didn't  think Becton was having his way with the defenders. It means nothing but he wasn't  being abused out there.

He was playing against UPS guys and just about holding his own.

Yeah all 7 where he was either shutting out the pass rusher or pushing someone backwards or a run?
So yeah, watch those 7.  Because interestingly you saw things that didn’t happen and could determine that he wasn’t impressive enough in only 7 plays but everyone else who saw that he played well can’t get that after only 7 plays.  It was only 7 plays so we should throw those 7 plays out, make believe they didn’t turn out the way we could only hope for.
So yes, watch the tape again and other than you needing to see more than 3 series whatever, tell us what you think you saw of him not looking like a starter, what he did poorly
