I also teared up a bit. Those were some very talented teams. Too bad they never were able to go all the way, but they were special.

Always impressed me on how close those players stayed after all these years.  That 1977-1985 era created a lifelong bond for such a large number of them.  And, many of them loyal to the team to this day.

That’s nice.

He also chewed out one the greatest and most beloved Jets players of all-time, during one of the happiest moments of his life, because he couldn’t stand the fact that this player acknowledged the both of them as all-time great Jets defensive players.  His legacy will always be that of a mercenary who just-so-happened to enjoy his longest cup of tea here.

Unbelievably huge congratulations to Joe Klecko.  It was a long-time coming and beyond deserved.

Good for you Darrelle.  You made a lot of money and had a great career.

If we are judging the human, Klecko is a convicted felon who also committed vehicular manslaughter.

Both deserve their inductions and I’m equally happy for both. I don’t draw moral lines. I just think it’s funny when Jet fans despise Revis for holding out and some words, but give Joe a pass.

I became a Jets fan in 1985, so missed the majority of Joe Klecko's career. But his achievements are incredible, particularly making the Pro Bowl at three different positions.

Great to see him get this long-overdue invite to the Hall. Congratulations, Joe - you should have been in decades ago.

Cheers for Revis were no where near other inductees

You know what I think?

Can you not handle the fact Klecko was better than Revis?

Good for klecko and revis too. Both of those guys were of the very few jet players, at least since the seventies, that other teams would have gladly taken if given the chance.  Klecko s tribute was decades too late.  Isn’t howie long in the hof? Jason Taylor? Merlin Olsen?  Even Reggie white?  All fine players but joe was just as good and showed just as much heart.

Revis?  Great player without a doubt. He was the equal of any cornerback for a pretty good stretch.  Okay so he wanted his money.  Doesn’t everyone?

1. I’m not judging the human beings in regard to their personal lives, but you should probably notate that perjury in an insurance fraud case, which lead to 3 years house arrest, a fine, and community service, is as not the same as armed robbery.  Also, IIRC, Klecko was never charged or ticketed for the pedestrian accident.  It was a troubling situation where he expressed a great deal of regret and remorse.

2. I AM referring to their attitudes toward the team, the team’s alumni, the fans, and the organization, as a whole.  Anyone who follows Revis on social media knows that he doesn’t even view himself as a Jet, through-and-through.  He regularly shouts out #PatriotNation, as if he spent 20+ years there, and only mentions the Jets when it’s convenient for him.

Revis not an all-time Jet.  He’s an all-time mercenary.  He always will be.  A far cry from Joe Klecko’s legacy.

Yes, Klecko deserved it and probably would have made it in the HOF a lot sooner if he had been on better teams or even won a SB.  The SE was really good for 2 maybe 3 years.  Hopefully, this D that's being carved out currently is in it for several years with a least 1 SB victory.
