What else?

What about Gipson?  Lots of guys who are showing up for the WR6 spot.

Love what I'm hearing about Becton. If he can stay healthy, he will be a huge boost to this team. He and Zach have a lot to prove, both have at least performed positively.

TEs will definitely play a bigger roll this year. Conklin and Uzomah have been constantly targeted in days I attended camp.

Is Corey Davis still alive? I haven't heard a peep since training camp began.

At $10MM, he's not cheap and there's plenty of talent and depth pushing for his spot. I think he survives at a reduced salary and because the Jets want to be able to run the ball in 3 WR sets.

No green colored glasses over here. This team sucks. I’m done with this team.

j/k. Lazard being WR2 is a surprise but he does seem to be good. The OL is interesting. We have a solid interior with depth. Becton is making his case for LT and Brown can play well at LT also. Biggest issue now is RT. I’m losing confidence in Mitchell.

A few things seem to be clearing up after watching the Carolina practice feed.

1. Allen Lazard is our 2nd best WR

2. Mecole Hardman better start catching the ball consistently or risk facing the wrath of Rodgers, who talks a lot about accountability

3. CJ Uzomah might be a bigger part of the offense than we thought.  It’s never been fair to judge him based on last year

4. The TEs in general should be a big part of the offense

5. Becton is starting to stack some good practices and could be a real threat to Brown on the left side.  At the very least, he’s showing once again he has the potential to be dominant in the run game.  Can he stay healthy, build his stamina and continue to improve in pass pro?

6. The run game has boom or bust written all over it … depending on the play.  Wouldn’t be surprised to lead the league in BOTH zero gains and home runs

7. Feels like Tippman is coming on while Shweitzer is fading

8. Pretty quiet on the AVT, Tomlinson & McGovern fronts, which is likely a good thing

9. Jets need to find a way to keep BOTh Brownlee and Taylor on this team

10. Best kicking game we’ve seen in over a decade

11. Aaron Rodgers still has plenty in the tank but blocking for him remains critical

12. Our starting FS Tony Adams just might be for real

What else?

1. He should be. We did give him high end #2 WR money.

2. Seems like a talker and a personality (a lot like Crater). But needs to back it with play and health. With Cobb as his competition mainly... he wont have that long of a leash if he doesn't get that trust with AR.

3. Totally agree. He was kept in a ton to block last year and wasn't used like he was used in Cincy as a red zone threat. Ruckert is who people like to talk about. But I still think he's a year away from emerging.

4. I sure hope so.

5. Him staying healthy and motivated would be great for us.

6. If Hall cant go or can only get like 5-10 touches early on. I'm worried about the run game with who we play to start the season. Hoping we add someone.

7. That'd be great. It'll come down to who AR trusts. That C QB connection is big.

8. For OLineman if they're not talking about them. That's normally a good thing. Means they're doing there job.

9. I think Bownlee makes the team but Taylor goes to the PS.

10. Yes. Vet stability

11. Hoping the OL gets it together. Bc talent is there. Give him time and he's elite.

12. Appears that way. And is rangy, which is exactly what we need. I expect the INTs to go up quite a bit for us this year.

I fear the first newlywed spat will be when JD and Saleh explain to AR that there is no room for Cobb on the final roster.

What else?

Defense has a problem... They can't stop the run and they allowed Young to walk up and down the field with TE throws...

It has always been their issue and doesn't seem like it's improved

TBD.  Depending on health, I'd expect to see Davis and Lazard used at very similar rates (of targets/receptions), with Davis gaining more, but Lazard being the better blocker/factor in the run game.

Goes for any and all Jets WR's while AR in here.

Something JEts Fans say every single offseason (lol), but might finally be true with Rodgers and his O-Co.

His quality of play and stamina should only improve with time and reps...if he can stay healthy on those knees.  Another clear TBD.

I don't think we'll lead the league in either.  We should be a solid top 10-12 rushing O with this talent.

He should, he's by the far the superior talent.  Schweitzer is a backup-tier guy.

Long as they're staying healthy, it is indeed likely good news.

No, they don't.  #6 WR's are amongst the most fan-over-rated players every single camp and preseason.  It's another thing that happens every year, fans fall deeply in love with this year's UDFA Chrebet-wannabe because of a catch or two in practice or preseason.

There is likely one and only one available WR spot on this roster, the #6 spot behind Wilson/Davis/Lazard/Hardman/Cobb.

One.

It's August.

This one won't be answered till December.

Yes.

I'll be honest, I have no idea, haven't been paying any attention to the Safety spot.  I'll take your word on it.

He's been impressive when targeted. He, Lazard and Garrett have missed some time throughout camp so it's kinda been intermittent. If he stays healthy (big if) he should be WR2 IMO.

A few other things.  Please continue to add yours

1. Ashtyn Davis is not making this team

2. Bryce Hall might make it due to Echols suspension .. but unfortunately hasn’t made any waves to really earn the trust of the coaching staff

3. A healthy and productive Adams and Sherwood take this D to the next level.  That plus an improved pass rush.  Joyner was bad and there appears to be a reason teams weren’t that interested in Kwon (as a starter)

4. Covering TEs continues to be a concern.  KC, Philly and to a less extent Cleveland & the Giants (Waller) are the teams that scare me the most.

I can see Sauce matching up against Kelce & Waller.  Philly & Cleveland have much better WR corps which negates this strategy

5. Zach needs to learn to let go of bad plays.  Today’s practice reminded me of last year.  Poor start snowballs into accuracy issues and holding the ball too long

6. Jets RBs are making a case to not sign Cook or Zeke

I was watching hard knocks a bit.  Granted they’re going to show good stuff but some of those throws Rodgers made were amazing.  Hopefully this all carries forward to game day.

I honestly think our WR corp is going to be an issue as the season goes on. We need to keep Brownlee and Davis. We can't count on Hardman for more than returning kicks/punts.

Davis is a money decision.  I expect that he will be on the roster barring some kind of unforeseen move (Davante Adams? something like that).  I don't see any issue with keeping Brownlee or Taylor.  I think they can both survive on the practice squad.  i think they can count on Harman, but that does not mean that I am overly optimistic about him.  I expect 300-500 yards and to put some pressure on the D with his speed.  I think that is reasonable. I can see Gipson being a practice squad guy with some call-ups too.

“11. Aaron Rodgers still has plenty in the tank but blocking for him remains critical “

the #1 concern

when asked about the OL in his presser - Saleh paused & looked down..before responding.   A bit telling.
Not sure what can be done at this point to strengthen it.
How is it graded?  I would think average at best.
