The guy made around $40M during his NFL career...why on earth did he need to scam some banks out of $100k?

Did he really blow all that money already? Extravagant lifestyle? Bad investments?

Just weird.

Taxes, taxes, taxes. So maybe he’s looking at $20 million… Still no reason you couldn’t live a life of comfort and ease off that type of money. Heck I could live off the interest on that money.

I've just seem some stuff on Twitter about Skrine.  Apparently, he has also scammed former players at his alma mater and NFL fans out of money for access to luxury suites that didn't exist.  Got people to part with money, than ghosted them, blocked them, changed his number etc.

It seems that, as well as being bad with money, he's also a complete scumbag.

Flag on the play, #41.

Shoot, my family and I live VERY comfortably on my FD Pension, my new post-FD job as a Plans Examiner/Protection Systems Inspector, and the few bucks a month the VA sends me every month.

With a "measly" $1.5M or so, I could never work again in my life and be set to do almost anything we wanted to do.

A lot of these guys are just flat out stupid.

Granted, our lifestyle doesn't demand "drip", diamonds, Bottle Service every night, 3 Bentleys a few Mazeratis, and financing my Boyz so they think I'm dope..

$1.5MM plus your pension $$ every month?

most don't have those type of pensions anymore - although i think nfl players have a pretty good one.

Lol, yeah, the point being that I simply can't comprehend how guys can piss through millions of dollars in a decade or less sometimes...

I mean, Mike White has a cumulative career earnings around 4.6 mil... hell, The Strev has actually made about 1.5M and  those guys are probably set and could do what's they wanted moving forward and be pretty, pretty OK.

Barry Sanders drove a beater and lived in a $200K house for years, but fringe roster guys gotta get that swag.

Dumb.
