One MORE Thing That Rodgers Brings...

Recommended Posts

To this team that we haven't had since BEFORE the turn of the century is that with his affability and being such a likable dude, is that the 2023 New York Jets are not going to be so easily screwed over by the Refs every week. For over 20 years now whenever we have played the Patriots and the Bills-(especially the Belichick and his being on the rules committee Pats) did we see call after contentious call go to the other team?. How many games did we see major penalties, game changing plays being GIVEN to the Patriots over the Jets? Hell, they were given the game just last year with that BS roughing the passer call, and the not seen holding call on the game-winning punt return. How come the Jets weren't given the penalty when Milano deliberately went in to injure Mike White? Why didn't WE get the same "he hit him too hard" call? As of September 11th that sh!t is done with, does anyone think that a play like, a dirty hit that ruined our season is going to be allowed to stand-uncalled if he projects his body like a cannonball into the ribcage of one of the game's best players? Does anyone think he doesn't get suspended if he tries that sh!t this year on Rodgers?

It's been 25 years since the Jets were the team given a game-changing and SEASON changing call. Anyone remember the Vinny TD against the Seahawks during the 1998 season? Plays like that have been awarded to the Patriots ever since the tuck-rule game-they had 20 + years of getting ALL the calls-especially against the Jets. It's my contention that. THOSE kind of plays called against the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets are OVER!

Yup, and we've already seen some of that last season with Sauce getting away with murder. Refs generally don't like to call penalties on talented players b/c they KNOW the whole world is watching that players and refs don't like being under the microscope if they can avoid it. I hope WE get a bunch of ticky-tac 'Roughing The Passer' calls in OUR favor this year with Rodgers under center.

yea, good point Crush, but being one of the games best players as well as having your head coach on the rules committee is a pretty hard mountain to scale.

Especially since last season the Jets were THE ONLY TEAM that actually went through the whole 17 game season without ONE SINGLE ROUGHING THE PASSER CALLED against our opponents!

Belli or Bobby? In that committee

Belichick, you've seen how he was always in the side refs ears waiting on every call-influencing every call FOR his team. "You keep calling them like that we'll see how long you're on a crew next season" Yeah, I believe he is THAT much of a scumbag

You can be a douche and a good player or a nice guy who sucks... just don't be a douche who sucks.

wow I did not realize that, but not surprised. Zack/Mike never seemed to get that flag. Heck, even Sam got his world rocked with no flags in his favor....recall that Denver game where a defender picked Sam up, spun him around and slammed him into the ground. No flag....same play would have been called 100 times out of a 100 times if that happened to Brady/Burrows/Mahomes, any of them.

Now with Rodgers, we should start getting those calls too.
