I went "none of the above" ... and I see that as a good sign because it is more reflective of the depth of the 53-man roster than an indictement on the PS guys.

Of course injuries can change this in a heartbeat, but that aside I see our PS as part of the long term pipeline rather than any short term patch in-season. Which is as it should be.

Of the 16 players on the current Practice Squad, which ones, if any, have a realistic chance to play meaningful snaps in a game this season?  Not be a superstar or anything, but contribute in an actual game.

Honestly I hope non of them because that would mean we are dealing with injuries. But one player I really like is Kuntz

Kuntz needs to take a redshirt year and come back next year a lot more bulked up and stronger.  He could easily carry 25 more pounds of muscle and still be athletic/pass receiver threat.  He's a lot like Yeboah who obviously has really put the time in the weight room and matured into a very solid contributor

The guy tested off the charts in strength ..how much stronger you want him ? They questioned his blocking and he did great . No harm him taking a year on the PS I just hope all that potential actually pays off.

He was cut by the Jets and 31 other teams didn't even sniff at him.  He isn't that strong or that great of a blocker.  Let's just be real.  He has potential but he needs to get bigger and stronger if he wants to be on an NFL active roster.  He's listed at 251 on the current Jets roster - come back next year at 265-270 with a lot more muscle and he might be a real weapon

His power clean was 365 lbs, that's more than the kid who was the top OT

in the '24 draft.  He tied for the lead for TE at 225 reps.  His blocking problem

was not from lack of strength or effort but from technique and experience

Hopefully, NONE of them because that means that we have suffered a somewhat serious injury at that position.  I think there are only a couple I'd want to see on the field, Smart, Holmes, and maybe James. The rest I wouldn't want to see anywhere near the playing field this year.

I agree with all but the Kuntz part. He is nowhere ready to see the football field.  At this point, he is still only an athlete and "potential", not a football player.  He would be one of the last players that should get promoted to the roster in case of injury.

I'll say Trey Dean and Craig James because Ashtyn Davis and Bryce Hall aren't on solid ground

with their pre-season performances

While I agree with that assessment, I don't see Davis going anywhere unless he gets injured, and Hall may be gone as soon as Echols comes back.

I disagree that Kuntz did great blocking.  In brief action in one preseason game against other backups, he had two holding penalties.  He's a looooooooooooong way from being ready to see the playing field.

I hear ya Sarge but I'm basing this off what I actually saw in pre season and he blocked his ass off . Sure it all remains to be seen in real games but remember in college he was predominantly a pass receiver and there was not much info on his blocking ability so his evaluation was pretty much an Incomplete.

I said Dean and Valladay, because Dean seemed perform as he was supposed to and a S will get hurt, and RBs seem to get hurt too.

I did not say Smart but I should have-he can play with NFL starters, and if we get injuries at DT he will play.

If Rodgers gets hurt, Tim Boyle will play.
