He was in the midst of a panic attack.  I had one a long time ago.  You become so overwhlemed and frozen with fear you cant think straight.

If you saw the look on his face and the fact that he could not pull the trigger, i am convinced that is what happened.

Are you the one that is our captain?

it did look like that.  looked nothing like the giants preseason game where he got it out quick

LMAO.  You're going to defend our OL?!

On the two drop backs where the tackles cut block? Yes, absolutely. They did their job, Rodgers needed to get rid of it.

Tbf on the injury play, I actually think there was a player who dropped and that slant wasn't open, which is why he held the ball.

He was holding the ball and looked like a deer in headlights

Here is the thing: We all hold superstar athletes in high regard, and presume because they make tens of millions of dollars, they are 'superhuman.'

The reality is, that Rodgers is human. Peyton Manning talked about this a few days ago about Rodgers:  What would he be like on that opening drive?  He has only ever played in Green Bay, and then all of a sudden you are playing in the media center of the world called New York, with a franchise base desperate to relive the glory of Joe Namath's days.

After listening to Manning in that interview, I was thinking "Yeah, let's not expect an opening scoring drive as he settles into the moment."  I didn't think the moment would last four plays.

If Rodgers snapped his Achilles on that play, even if he avoided the tackle there he was snapping it some other time during a 17 game season.   The Achilles was ready to go.  The fact that his calf was sore during pre season was a sign that pathology was too tight/ready to go.

Such is the peril of rolling with 39 year old players.  Not really a great strategy.  It backfired on the Patriots letting Brady go, but if you move on earlier rather than later, as a general matter I think you end up ahead.

We were all excited about Rodgers, and the fact that he had only missed one game in the past six years was a testament to his health.

However, you are correct about rolling with a 39-year-old.   I am sure Saleh and JD both believed they were a QB away from competing for a Super Bowl.  The roster is the best we have had in 15-18 years.  I am sure part of this has Woody written all over it.  Considering we had Derek Carr in, and called about Matt Stafford, I am sure everyone in the building was all-in on bringing somebody here to play QB NOT named Zach Wilson.

Jimmy Hoffa got Vinny in 99 and got Aaron last night.

It is that or my panic attack theory.  There is no other logical explaination for what happened.

Glad to see you thinking straight again , welcome back , this is the Devils work , period .

I think it's possible that both things can be true:  Rodgers held the ball too long, AND Rodgers is still a good QB.  I think he was still feeling the jitters which would have eventually wore off after a drive or two.  Anyone trying to point to those 4 snaps as if it's evidence that he was suddenly a washup is just brain broken.

But yeah, I don't think you can blame the OL.  Sometimes sh*t just happens.  Wasn't even a really physical sack either, just got his cleat caught and that was a wrap.
