2022 LA Times article gives good overview of how Cam Akers recovered so quickly from torn Achilles

Rodgers will be ready in 4 months. I really believe that and I know he does also. What to do though when Zach has lead us to the playoffs and Rodgers is ready? It’s a problem the Jets would be happy to have I imagine.

In that hypothetical, the Jets would have to believe Zach gave them the better chance to win.  If not, they'd be morons to not start Rodgers, and the whole team knows it . . .

Not sure we are assuming it will be Zach at qb. Of course they have to say he is now for his confidence. But they have been quietly looking for a guy who will be ready to come in right away if Zach self destructs like multiple games last yr

Different player, same result - best chance to win gets the start . . .

Congratulations. This is the most ridiculous post I’ve seen here all week regarding Aaron Rodgers.

From the recovery timeline, to the scenario where the Jets would be in a conundrum over what to do when he returns, it’s just a masterpiece.

This is an extreme hypothetical thought, but let's say that Zach Wilson has a stellar year, would you feel so compelled for Rodgers' return?  That would cause a controversy hence being a far reach for Wilson.

It's not hypothetical it's stupid.

Zach at his best doesn't **** up enough to ruin our defense and running game.

There's no scenario he looks like Aaron Rodgers, or close at any point in his career

I mean to somehow get in the playoffs and then hand over to Rodgers; denying GB the first round pick and thus making Rodgers healthy and not banged up from a long 17 game season is some Jedi mind sorcery from JD……

However I refuse to build my hopes up that he comes back this year. Even to think he would be fully healthy for TC next year feels a little bit of a bonus when first timelines said possibly 12 months.

Check out the '72 Dolphins.   QB Bob Griese boke his ankle and his backup, Earl Morrall (remember him from Super Bowl III) replaced him and then late in the playoffs Griese returned and the Dolphins went undefeated and won the Super Bowl.

Can you imagine if Zack takes this team and they win every single game and Rodgers then returns?  I heard that Zack has never lost an NFL game when both he and Breece Hall start?  Is that true?
