I published an ebook on Amazon Kindle

Shameless self-promotion time!

I finally published my first ebook on Amazon Kindle. It's a novella (short novel) called The Owl, the Weasel, and the Toad and subtitled A Parody of Public Education Reform. It's an animal fable/satire like George Orwell's Animal Farm, but funny, I hope.  Here's the link to its product page, where you can read the first 4+ chapters for free as a preview:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ3ZRR8G

If you happen to be a member of Kindle Select, you can read it for free.

During my 30 years as a high school teacher at two different schools, I had to deal with a series of what seemed rather useless and silly "reforms" and such from the federal government (No Child Left Behind, for example) on down the the state (Common Core, state tests and such) and local level. So many trends were sold to us as "the greatest thing ever," etc. So, this book makes fun of all of that, but there's also a serious side to the story as I go into "human nature" stuff like ambitious school system directors and insecure school principals forcing out teachers who they don't like, etc.
