why do we not have another QB?

we have 2 QBs and no one on the PS. why? Cobb is are emergency QB?

i think maybe they could trade for someone good but there waiting to see what Zach does vs Dallas. cause once they make this trade it would be obvious Zach is not going to be the starter.

why else would we wait? if it was someone like Colt McCoy that you know Zach starts over he should be here now.

plus Zach has played 2 years and been injured and missed time both years.

The fact that they haven’t brought in any of the guys who are available now tells me that they’re aiming higher and are willing to wait for a starting-quality player. Jameis? Minshew? Cousins?

i think your right. something is up.

Or, they believe in The Zach Attack.

Also, f off Jameis Winston. You think this fanbase is punching their own dicks with Zach, wait til Jamies throws 30 INTs

even if they believe in Zach we need a 3rd QB . even if you put him on the PS in case of emergency.

Yes!  Frankly I'm shocked they haven't added anyone yet - and the only logical answer is they have something bigger they're working on.

I feel like we're going to end up going the FA route - and bring in one of the old dudes that still want to play like Matty Ice or Rivers...

I honestly can't believe they really believe Zach is the guy for the season.

They’re going to bring in another QB. My guess is, they’re going to sign a third QB from a practice squad or the street, and then wait to see how Zack does and who is available over the next few weeks, before the trade deadline. The only way we get someone decent is if some team has a terrible first month-6 weeks and decides they’re going to trade a QB they know they’re going to move on from next year anyway. The Vikings and Kirk Cousins might fit this description, but Minn isn’t going to punt on the season yet. In a month or so, maybe. That also gives the Jets a chance to see how ZW does over the next month. A lot is “ifs” in there, but that’s what the Jets are waiting for in my opinion.

There was reported interest and it was speculated that the Rams brought Rypien up solely to avoid having him poached by the Jets, but it’s since come out that Stetson Bennett is dealing with some dire personal issues.

A few reasons:

1~ any good qb is already on a roster

2- no team is trading their backup qb.

we just need a arm for an emergency. where did we find Streveler... the CFL?

if Zach goes down then its Boyle and Cobb? what if one of them got hurt today?

every team has a nobody backup on their PS. ours just got called up to the 53. we need a replacement.

thats why i agree with @T0mShane and @FidelioJet. something is in the works.

i think JD can get a better QB than Zach right now but he doesnt want to give up the draft picks if he doesnt have to. Zach gets this game and maybe the NE and then if he doesnt like his play he makes the trade.

makes no other sense why we dont have anybody here for now.

If they believed in Zach, there is no one that would want to bring in to be QB3. Zach, Boyle, and then if they both go down.. bring in The Strevalone.

Eh. They’re facing three brutal pass rushes in the Cowboys, Pats, and Eagles, then the Wink Martindale zero blitz Giants after the BYE. Douglas is playing with fire not having a third QB in the building learning the system right now.

I don't even think this team is teaching the third QB anything, to be honest. I think they're too focused on every other position except the one they should be focused on... qb.

but get him in now to learn the playbook. its a different system from last years so Streveler has no advantage.

cant just wait till you have an injury and then get someone and they have 4 days to learn the playbook.

for a team thats suppose to be all in this is a strange strategy especially with a starting QB who has missed 3 games each of the last 2 years.

If we have to play QB3/4, we’re f’d anyway.

There’s way too much concern about this.

They aren't bringing in another QB because they know Zach is the future and just waiting for a decent backup to shake free.

It's amazing that even in the midst of a winning season the anti-zaxxers are out in force.

guess you havent been reading but this isnt an anti-Zach thread. this is a serious concern. if Zach got hurt today we have Boyle and Cobb as our 2 QBs for tomorrow.

after what just happend to Rodgers we should all be taking the QB position seriously.

doesnt matter how anyone feels about Zach you need a 3rd QB. you could get a arm in now and cut him when a decent backup shakes free.

We have Boyle as the backup tomorrow... most teams carry two QBs.

A third is a luxury.
