“Nathaniel Hackett, not Zach Wilson, is the Jets biggest problem.”

I don't know if I agree with that statement but I do agree that Nate Hackett was terrible yesterday.

Hackett's conservative play calling against the BIlls almost cost us the game. One of the worst sequence that gave Bills ample time to tie the game into OT.

He is AR's puppet at best.

By the way, FU Stephen A., FU. You slime ball piece of crap.

Can we not bring Stephen A Smith football content onto this board? Or at least note that it’s Stephen A football content so we don’t burn our unlimited data clicking on it?

Also Steven A: "teams should kick field goals on 3rd down so that if they miss, they can retry on 4th down"

ESPN has their guys who they’ll go after and guys they won’t go after. Hackett is low hanging fruit.

Wrong.  Doesn’t matter what plays you call or don’t call if you don’t have a functional NFL QB.

Would Hackett’s “idiotic” play calling have mattered as much if Rodgers played yesterday? Likely not.

Wouldn't know becaue Hackett wouldn't be calling the plays.  Rodgers would be.

Even a broken clock is right sometimes.

SAS knows as much about football as my 112 year old grandmother, may she rest in Peace.

But he's actually got one right here - Hackett's gameplanning was abysmal yesterday.

I haven't been on here in a long time but I came here for this.     Zach Wilson isn't the problem.   Just like every other young QB we have had for the past decade, the problem is we have OC's that do not know:

1.  How to scheme against the team they are playing

2.  Have no clue how to develop a QB

3.  Calls the most vanilla offense that is the most predictable garbage offense as I have ever seen.

4.  Cannot put a decent OL together since 2015

Zach is the problem, he’s extremely limited as a passer. We have a slim margin of error as long as he’s the QB. You seen what happened when we got down and had to ask him to step up and make something happen.

Exactly.  Everything else has to be very good or excellent to win with him.

Hackett got us Rodgers. We have to suck it up this year and that’s that. I personally think that if this gets us another QB to put behind Aaron for a year it could work out to our benefit. If the jets make the playoffs, great. If not, pick a QB.

To be fair I don't think Wilson is the answer but my point here is Wilson is a product of the OC coaching, game planning, and play calling.  Same for Darnold.   Do I think Wilson is a problem now.  Yes.   But he isn't THE problem.

Amazing how we couldn't find an OC to call the good plays for Sam and now Zach.

Also strange how Darnold is languishing on SF's bench even though he finally has a great offensive coach.  Don't they know they're just one QB change away from unlocking greatness?????

Blaming the OC when the QB is terrible — again. You’d think people would catch on after a while. It wouldn’t matter if Bill Walsh were the OC; Zach would still be the worst QB in football.

this is true

but also Nate Hackett isn't very good

It's notable how Adam Gase and Nate hackett can ride coattails up to the biggest stage in Football

he's the son of a former Jets OC and his biggest qualification is being Aaron Rodgers' friend

nice work if you can get it
