underlying blocking, offensive personnel and playcalling issues

I get that he's a good lockerrom guy but he's a liability on the field, and when there's a proven commodity like Ruckert, who game in game out drives defenders off the screen, like out of frame completely, it begs the question why he's not in the game as the #1 blocking TE. Uzomah is terrible. Further the left side of line is NOT where to run the ball unless on a counter when Brown and Tomlinson < AVT and Becton. By a lot.

Here's Uzomoh blowing up his own running play, single handedly (note Becton also got beat inside which is a trend):

Same situation, different RB:

V Bills, 3rd and 1:

Ruckert as a blocker is a beast:

Go with a speed option instead of Ruckert:

The O-Line (and by extension our QBs [one already lost for the year]) needs real help. Think what you want about the source but it passes the eye test. There's more evidence out there:

There's more, but this change -- immediately benching Uzomah for Ruckert, and going ground and pound running right with some other tweaks for explosives should be made immediately. GW always split out w 2 TEs, and Hardman, Gipson, and RBs involved in the passing game.

The real need right now is to play to the strength of the team.

Great post Vader! Thanks for accumulating all those tweets into 1 post. Agree with everything you wrote.

No, Tippy is a center.  That is where he should play.

if they for some reason shuffled it up and moved AVT to LT or RT (meaning Duane Brown is getting benched for either Becton or AVT), that would open up a guard spot too. They could drop Brown, keep McGovern, and insert Tippet. Becton and AVT bookends. And in any scenario including this scenario, the TEs would be adding to the pass pro, with at least chipping and releasing -- which could be a weapon in the screen and RPO game too

Tomlinson is a bigger problem than McGovern. Send his ass to the bench and play Tippmann at LG.

I was wondering that, I want to watch the All22 for that reason. Becton and Brown they are pretty much stuck with for better or worse right now. Putting AVT at tackle with all the other interior problems would be a mistake.

So then you have to decide who sits first Tomlinson or McGovern? And where you project Tippmann long term center or guard.

I think when the whole oline looks that bad it’s because they weren’t prepared for their opponent. Whatever stunts and rushing patterns the cowgirls used confused the oline and they didn’t know who or where to block.  Parsons was all over the place and that caused some confusion.  The coaches should’ve known this was going to happen.  It’s kind of amazing Zach didn’t get sacked more.
