Why did JD draft McDonald when we still needed a QB?

Joe I'm no expert at all.. but even I know if the team went all out for Rodgers with a #2 draft pick as back up there was no need to draft a QB, unless, you're talking in hindsight... then if you are, everything in life is open for scrutiny!!

I think most would agree Zach #2 hasn't worked to date. Rodgers was a risk but no one would have expected to what happened. Ideal world Zach would have at least a year learning from Rodgers!! Again all the doom and gloom posters talking in hindsight!!!

Not the right time for one, but this upcoming draft we may be in a good position to make a move at QB. I certainly hope we'll go that direction. The chance for a top prospect to develop under Rodgers for a year or two sounds really enticing.

Even if Rodgers comes back and fully recovers which isn't guaranteed, he's still going to be turning 41 next year. Our scouts need to be all over the QB class this season.

Before you start a thread suggesting McDonald is a bust and we should have taken a QB at that slot, maybe you should actually look up what was available. I don’t remember is not an acceptable response. You can’t just materialize a QB out of thin air that you can take in the draft that happens in your imagination.

TB 12 is soft answer but Peyton did it at 39 with a broke neck  and crazy pass rush. Seems reasonable.

Ok, so the story is changing. You went for the most important position in sports to OL instead. Fine. Which OL were you taking at 15? I’ll help you out, All the consensus top tackles were off the board. Again, whatever fantasy world you’re living in where you can draft an all pro at any position/draft slot you want doesn’t exist in reality.

I agree that the #1 and #2 picks both sitting/inactive is a bad look. As bad as Lazard/Cobb/Hardman have looked so far, JSN would be nice to have.

Disagree with QB at #15, with the Rodgers move already done.

With that said I definitely would have taken Stanford QB Tanner McKee in the 5th round or thereabouts. Said that before the draft, still feel it woulda been a good move. Boyle is not worth rostering.

We still need a QB 2 games into the 2023 season we have nobody ZW is a BUST 

If there were no QB’s available at 15 then the pick should have been OL instead JD picked a guy most of this board never heard of who is inactive on game day.

Yep, that’s as solid as it gets. I honestly like the McDonald pick, but I get this as well.
