Having Zach Wilson as QB makes predicting the outcome really difficult. What I predicted on the Dallas game.

Recommended Posts

My brother in law told me that a bunch of his friends were going to pick the Jets against Dallas last week, until he told them that his brother in law (me) is a huge Jets fan, and said that the Jets would not cover the 8 point spread, and they all decided not to bet the game based upon the fact that I am a big Jets fan, and I said they wouldn't cover.

I told my brother in law that I would bet the game with him, but only if he gave me 14 points with me picking the Jets.

He took that bet, and I still lost, with the Jets losing by 20 points.

Now, with the Jets playing New England on Sunday, I am baffled as to what will be the outcome.

And it all comes down to what in the world will Zach Wilson do differently in this game, that will help the Jets win?

My gut tells me that the Jets will lose again, with Zach looking pathetic.  My gut says the Jets lose 20-16.

My heart tells me that the defense will play great, and if the offensive line can get a push, we can run the ball, and limit Zach's mistakes.  That would translate into a win for the Jets.

Against Dallas, the Jets offensive line looked bad, and the poor protection only adds to Zach's problems at QB.

So, this game will come down to the play of the Jets offensive line, and how Zach responds in the fact of adversity.

Predicting another Jets loss makes me sick, it really does.  And I predicted a win against Buffalo, but honestly, I expected the Jets to have played better, and not rely so heavily on Josh Allen's mistakes.

I so much want to be wrong this game.

Betters are all over this... Good team got embarrassed coming home getting points... Easy bet for smart money... Jets +3 all day

I really hope you're right!!  I will be at the game on Sunday, and as I have told others, I can't remember the last time the Jets have lost when I was at the game.  It might have been more than 10 years ago, to be honest.  I was at the Miami game last year- win.  Indy game the year before that- win.  Giants game before that- win.

Overreaction is so high... All the public money is coming in on Pats... Heavy bets are on Jets +3...

Draftkings has the Pats D ranked 8 spots ahead of the Jets and mac jones ranked 8 spots ahead of Wilson.

That is all you need to know about how this game is going to go.

Duane Brown looked his 38 years old against Dallas.  Zach didn't have time, and our running backs didn't have any holes to run through.  It is about Zach, but I'm afraid it's not only about Zach.

The OL is still gelling and played against one of the best defensive players  in the league.

They played like sh*t... Looked like sh*t....

Did you also tell them along with zach being zach, that the defense would Sh!t the bed as well ?

Look, I saw the game too... And yes they played bad... But it was overall bad and they played a very good team in their home opener...

This game they are coming home Zach plays a lot better at home against a very bad Pats team that has no OL... The only reason this will be close if it is, is because BB is a better coach...

Even with BB coaching his ass off they might squeek out a win if they play perfect and the Jets play like the Dallas game... That's like a 5% chance

That I didn't expect.  But seriously, the Jets D got worn down, and while Saleh blamed the defense for not getting off the field, the Jets offense didn't help, and thus, the Jets defense looked worn out in the 4th quarter of the game.

I expect 1 or 2 important injuries due to NE being more aggressive.

Given the poor play of Zach Wilson, combined with the dominance the Patriots have had over the Jets, I just don't see how the Jets win this game.

I see another disaster start for Zach Wilson. The Patriots will get ahead, play with the lead, force Zach Wilson to make plays which he won't make, and the Patriots will win yet again sadly...

23-10 Patriots

NE secondary behind their rookie is on their 4th and 5th string CBS... They are bad... The OL is down 2 key players..

if your life depended on getting this correct, would you really bet on zach wilson and the jets to beat the patriots, or at least come within 3 points?

The problem with the worn down argument is that they spotted dallas a td to start the game.  Team was flat and unprepared.

Exactly .. I called it the week before. .. was easy to see this as the probable outcome .. short week, sniffing their own farts after squeezing out an impossible win, traveling across country, loss of Rodgers sinking in ... Jets were never winning that game.

Zach played poor in the past... True... He played mediocre against the best team in NFL at the moment... That is enough to win in NE...

I agree this was as close to unwinnable game as they could get...

And the results bare that to be true...

But also the overreaction of that one loss is also true

They will win this game and then lose to KC on a short week.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  Havent done it the last 14 times and you are sure they will do it Sunday.  Outside of blind homerism, there is no rational evidence to base this on.
