Josh Jones that was traded a month ago? What's happening here

Lol. I didn't know until 15 minutes ago that he was traded.in Aug 24th. My point is still the same, though. Going into the season with what we had was way to risky. Jones was available to us, and we should have takin the plunge

Ugh, your point isn’t the same.  Let’s go further, you have no idea if JD inquired and if so what they wanted in return but decided you had enough info to call JD trash.
Too funny.

Was Aaron on board? It is his dime that he gave back.

You don't go into the season relying on Duane Brown and Becton. If a former 1st rd pick, who is only 26 yrs old is available in a trade. You get him. If you don't  You failed.

You’re just going to stick to it?
As I said, do you know if JD inquired, was interested or not and if they talked what was asked for in return?

It kind of makes a difference.  This isn’t Madden

The Texans gave up a 5th rd pick for him. Would have done that if you we're the Jets GM. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that we trade for Rodgers, then do very little to sure up an offensive line that helps make a Todgers, or any other QB a success.

Once again, you don’t know if we were offered Jones for a 5th

I agree. My point nut is if he was available, you get him. If you don't, you didn't do your job. The Texans aren't a contending team. We at the time we're considered serious contenders. You do what you need to do to get a player you think can help. Especially at such a key position.

It’s already come out that he made a better offer to Orlando Brown and he picked the bengals instead.  Who’s to say he didn’t make an offer for Jones?  As seen by the PFF grades, he’s been pretty awful too. While I wish more was brought in along the o-line, fact is the options just weren’t there.

At the point we're Jones was traded,(l late August), we knew what we had, and that we needed some insurance with upside. You do what you need to do offer a higher pick. Offer a pick and player in return. Whatever you needed to do, that wasn't outrageously unreasonable, you do.Thats the way I feel about it.

We are at the point where JN is like the Babylon Bee--- nobody knows if people are posting silliness or if they are serious.

Are you happy with the state of our offensive line. If not, then it doesn't mean a damn thing about when Jones was traded, and if I missed the fact he was traded a month ago. If he was available, we should have made an all out effort to bring him here. That's the real point.  Not if I missed the news that was traded to the Texans. I'm very busy. Sometimes I miss news stories that other people don't. Sorry. I'm human

Ok, we’re in agreement.

First of all, I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to the responses.

To answer your question, no, I am not "happy" about the state of our OL. I am not "happy" about alot of things, like the playcalling, not going to a ground and pound offense with Hall, Cook and Carter et al, throwing the ball five times to (pick one) generic TE on the roster while Breece Hall gets 4 carries, not letting Sauce cover man to man as opposed to a designated space on the field, not coming up with a strategy to slow Micah Parsons down-

Other than that, I'm good. Oh, and our 2023 draft picks? Awesome draft. None of them playing. JD is God compared to Idzik. Yay Jets!
