Barry McCockinner
Brethren of JetNation, A clarion call of destiny echoes across the hallowed turf of our beloved gridiron. The journey we embark upon as we herald the commencement of this season is nothing short of a saga - a narrative poised to be inscribed in golden letters across the annals of NFL lore. Friends, it's OUR TIME. The crucible of competition awaits, and as the guardians of this cherished emblem, we stand united, our spirits in communion with the ambition that thunders through the ranks of our gridiron gladiators. As Vince Lombardi once reverently professed, “Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing.” And win we shall, but the path to victory has its share of twists and strategy. The conquest of today lays the foundation for the dominion of tomorrow. Our sights are set, not merely on the fleeting glory of a single season but on a legacy of distinction and a dynasty of dominance. Amidst the echelons of collegiate magnificence emerges a figure destined to be our torchbearer through the eras to come - Caleb Williams. His prowess on the field, a testament to the virtue of diligence and the essence of gridiron genius. A maestro quarterback whose armor gleams under the Californian sun, embodying the essence of hope, the promise of a triumphant era awaiting our emblem. Now, brethren, the path before us beckons a daring scheme, a tactical maneuver akin to the strategic mastery of a seasoned general. The narrative of destiny unfolds with a plot hitherto unheard of - a calculated descent to ascend the pinnacle of draft distinction, to claim the #1 overall pick, a golden key to a legacy of victories. Yes, tanking the season, a notion that may send ripples of disbelief. Yet in this audacious strategy lies the vision of a future resplendent with the laurels of conquest, an era where Sundays resonate with the roars of triumph, skies ablaze with the colors of our revered emblem. With every snap, with every tackle, the lore of Caleb Williams beckons, a prize worthy of the daring, a future forged with strategic mettle. Our journey through the season is a tapestry of fervor and foresight, each play carving the path to a draft day where destiny shall echo the words – OUR TIME. “Leaders are made, they are not born,” Lombardi’s words reverberate as we envision a realm with Williams at the helm, leading us through the echelons of NFL glory. Our mission is not for the faint of heart; it is the chosen path of the valiant, a voyage towards a horizon where the sun of victory rises, casting a golden glow on the annals of [Your Team's Name] legacy. #OurTime #StrategicMettle #CalebWilliams2024 Now, the sacred turf calls upon you, the faithful, to echo the belief, the resolve, and the unyielding spirit as we traverse through a season destined to be a prologue to the legend of Caleb Williams. K_O_Brien
There's a pathway here to being a normal franchise. Let the season play itself out. Sweet-talk Rodgers into another year or two. Axe Saleh, bring in an offensive HC with a resume of developing young QBs. Draft a young QB. Sit him behind Rodgers for two years. None of this will happen.

playtowinthegame
I can't root for the tank, because I don't want to see the good players we have to start demanding trades off this team. This team is a mediocre quarterback away from winning 9 to 10 games. Hopefully Robert Saleh is straight up lying to the media, and the Jets are actually trying to upgrade the quarterback room.

The fact that the awful 2020 team somehow didn't get the number 1 pick confirmed to me that we will never get the #1 pick when a stud QB is available. The next time we get the #1 pick, there will be no consensus top QBs - similar to 1996.
Beaver
The last time I had fun watching the jets was the tank for Trevor season. The Jets screwed that up and will most likely screw this up, but SOB I'm in. Frankly I refused to watch them or keep up with the score against the Pats as I knew what was coming. I would refuse to watch them this wee, but they are the only game on Sunday night, so if they are going to make me miserable to watch them, then I wish nothing but the worst for them.

A couple of them won Heisman's at USC as QBs. And they all sucked as NFL Quarterbacks. So yeah - why not draft a Penn State RB in the second round while we are at it. It's the Pedigree.
