Amazing how all our dline is getting awesome sauce scores and we got 0 sacks.

Our all world defense is currently ranked 20th in yards per game and 21st in sacks.

To he fair, where are they on yards per drive and points per drive?

The offense had 4 first downs through 3 quarters.  Against Dallas they had 3 first downs in the first half.

They can't get off the field and after the first game they have not generated any turnovers.  No sacks last game, i think 1 vs dallas

If we want to say our offense is so so, kinda okay but can't handle the poor offense fine.  But sure as hell they cant be called great or laughably elite.

they have 4 passing TD and 0 rushing TDs giving up in 3 games.

held Buffalo to 16 pts and NE to 13 points.

even the Dallas game they gave up 2 TDs. the rest were FGs.

thats pretty damm good. imagine how good they could be if they had a offense that could give them a rest or 2. you can discount how it hurts a defense to keep going out there after 3 and outs.

we have the same TO (4) as KC. we have more sacks than Phila. but nobody cares cause their offenses win. this defense is just fine.

Elite?  No.

They shut down the Bills, poor game against the Cowboys, good game against the Pats.   1 badly blown coverage that led to an easy TD.   Other than that, they gave up 2 field goals.  Those 2 field goals, the Pats had a combined 1 first down.

They have also allowed 16 and 13 points against in 2 of the 3 games. Both of them should have been wins.

This is hard to fathom.  The starting O line got great PFF scores but they couldnt run block or pass block.

The D line gets good PFF scores but they didnt do a good job stopping the run and didnt get any sacks.  And the entire D was again horrible on third down.

Who is watching the games and coming up with these scores?

The OL is more than adequate but the qb sucks and that changes how we see the game.

Fair enough but that doesnt explain the inability to run the ball at all or the defensive line scores .

It does though.

If the Pats don't respect Zach then they load 8 in the box. 8 players is going to almost always stop a sure fire run.

Defensive line wise, we need to score points for them to confidently pass rush, get sacks and cause poorly throw passes that can get INT.

This teams short comings for game 1 and 3 are squarely on Zach IMO

NE ran 40 times for 159 yds , was 8/19 on third down, and with zero sacks for the game, and YOU think that's on Zac Wilson?

You might want to get a second opinion.

McDonald was fairly highly rated relative to others on the. Defense--But Saleh and his lacky actually sat him last week. WTF.

The geniuses sat tippman too.  And wait till they put Izzy in there.  And ruckert gets one play and gets a rare first down.  The coaching staff does not know how to use the players they’re given.

No sacks or turnovers in the past two games.

This is a team game.

Imagine sitting down and watching our offensive film.   Would you then have your own offense taking 7 stop drops, throwing the ball down the field?  Nope - you do what everyone is going to do to us until we figure out a way to score.  Run, short drops, quick passes and dont take any chances.  Why would a team care if they punts - we cant score even if we start drives on our own 40.

Unfortunately this defense was built to play with a lead and send waves of pass rushers. There is also a personnel issue with this team leaning so heavily on veterans who have clearly shown they dont have it anymore,  Huff had another solid game vs the run and should be playing more.  I think we missed Adams yesterday on the TD which seemed like a miscommunication.

Its a collective failure here as to why the defense isnt going to play up to their talent level.  You cant just blame them - which is why continuing to play Zach is such a disaster for the organization

yards per game given up is always going to inflated when you aren’t supported by a functional offense
