Izzy. Dalvin Cook could be cut tomorrow and no one would notice.

It still baffles me why they won't give this guy a shot ... Cook is on 2.3 yards a carry and has lost 1 fumble in just 3 games. Carter and Hall are averaging far better (although Carter has only had 3 carries to date).

Sit Cook; have Hall as the lead back and divide up the rest of the reps between Carter & Izzy. Imagine a 3rd down backfield w. both Carter & Izzy on the field? Get them the ball on quick dump offs and see if they can generate some YAC.

Please ... anything other than more Cook plodding for 2 or 3 yards.

I would, so I can make fun of @Pac, @JETS SB, @Bobby816, @BornJetsFan1983 and all the other people who thought Cook was still a top 20 back.

I was looking back at the end of the Bills game, when we got a TO on the Bills 27 yard line.

Hall for 6 yards

Hall for 3 yards

Cook for ... no gain

Zach for 2 yards

Cook for ... minus 3 yards

Cook for ... 1 yard

Carter for 6 yards

Three other rushers - one of them our QB - outgained Cook on a drive that should have damned near sealed the game.

Fun fact:  Ashtyn Davis has a significantly higher YPC in 2023 (4.0) than Dalvin Cook (2.3).

Once again. Who on our offense has been good? Yet you want to just call out the one guy you don't like.

Outside of the obvious answer (Garrett Wilson).....Breece Hall (5.3 YPC, 6.5 yards per touch) and Michael Carter (4.7 YPC, 4.6 yards per touch), for starters.

I call out the sucky players.  I know, totally unfair right?

He has 58 yards on 25 carries, plus has 7 catches.  That's 21+ touches per game.

Unless I'm not following right, your math is wrong. 25 carries plus seven catches equals 32 touches divided by three games is just over 10 touches a game.

Yep I was dividing the yardage not the carries.

Point still stands.  10+ > 4 so @BornJetsFan1983’s take that Dalvin just needs more touches to get going is pretty flawed…10+ is decent usage for an RB2, even a high-end one.  And it won’t “get him going”, either…he just sucks.  He’s burnt toast.

Well running into a box and head first into more defenders that blocker when everyone knows your running is not helping. More touches not as predictable and give his a chance. He still can play and when Zach is bench will show as such

Just watch.

1. Brownlee for Cobb

2. Izzy for Cook

3. Ruckert for Conklin/Uzomah (yes, I know Ruckert is not inactive).

Playing old ass one-year veterans serves absolutely no purpose for 2023.

So why do it?

Because aaron rodgers told them to do it.

Then why are Breece (5.9 YPC) and Carter (4.7 YPC) so much more effective than Cook (2.3) if it’s so obvious we’re looking to run the ball?

Breece and Dalvin have faced about the same # of 8+ man boxes too.  26.9 % for Breece, 28 % for Dalvin.

Well one rips off 60 yard plus plays. Similar boxes sure if your numbers are correct and neither one do well running into walls. Go figure. Your cherry picking numbers trying to argue that cool is performing much worse but the all are similar performers on these terrible play calls.

Cool just like hall needs more than 4 carries a game. We need to establish the run game and not run directly into more defenders and blockers.

Didn't realize this was controversial

Cherry picking?  It’s YPC dude, lol.  Like…the most important RB stat.

Breece being able to rip off a big run doesn’t help your point either.  Cook used to be a big play RB.  He isn’t now.  Not good when he spends more time behind the LOS than any back, historically, looking for that “big play”.

He’s not a grinder.  Hence…he’s pretty worthless these days.  As I and numerous others predicted.

Man do you like to finagle stats. What’s Hall’s ypc been the last 2 games? Where he didn’t have 2 freakish long runs.I believe I saw both him at Cook average less than 2 ypc. It was like a .1 difference between the 2.

Finagle?  Those are season long numbers bruh.  No finagling needed.  Is what it is.  Dalvin sucks.
