Mike White Update

Not sure how you knock the durability of a guy who was nearly beaten to death, broke his ribs and came back into the game. It wasn't a durability issue.  It was an offensive line issue.

You're not sure how I question the durability of a guy who got hurt every time he got an opportunity.

Odd, but you do you I guess.

The only thing on this site worse than the few remaining Zach Wilson apologists, are the Mike White obsessives.  Well, maybe not worse, but just as bad.

Even Wentz would be better than White, and I loathe Wentz.

For a quarter or two, before he broke a rib, separated a shoulder, or tore an ACL, sure.

Of course Mike White is at best a decent #2 but if we are gonna call him out for being injury prone Mike white got hurt being blasted while standing in a collapsing pocket trying to make a play something ZW wouldnt ever do and lets not forget the mama's boy once injured his knee without being touched and Rodgers lasted 4 plays and got seriously hurt on a light hit.

The dime he threw to Andersen is something ZW has never done and likely never will.

Ok, and?

This isn’t a defense of Wilson. It’s a criticism of White, who isn’t nearly as good as his fans here think, and pointing out there were several far better options available much better than White.

The best was last year the Zach Stans cheering Mike White struggling or getting injured like that somehow vindicated Zach

Zach Wilson was supposed to be better than Trevor Lawrence and now we are comparing him to a 5th round journey man career third stringer

They very same ones attacking everyone criticizing Zach as "Not Fans". Let's see how many of them are still supporting Zach now...

Ok, and this. I am not a Whiteophile. I was pointing out the while criticism of White being injury prone is a fair point it is even more fair to include and compare the injury history of the 4 play wonderboy and the ZW phantom knee injury in the discussion

If the draft were held today, knowing what we now know, no NFL team would waste a 5th round pick on Zach Wilson.

I could make that throw with that kind of protection.

So could I, Literally, but that is basically the average amount of time that Wilson takes to throw.  It is half the time he had when he pirouetted down untouched on Sunday.

lol I was gonna say.  Zach routinely gets that kind of time.  What's his excuse for not making any throws like that?  The mean old coaching staff telling him not to?

Who isn't breaking their ribs on the hit Mike White took?

Someone with better pocket presence and feel for the rush?

The more interesting question is why are you fanboi'ing for Mike White of all people?

Is that really the best you think we can do or aspire to, Mike White?  Lol, man that's sad.

Lol, aim low, get low.

As I said to 80, there were several guys vastly better than White we could and should have signed to be our #2 QB.

Or for 4 plays...I'm guessing you believe a 40 year old QB is more durable...

How you feel about next year?

Rodgers career has shown him to be vastly more durable over a vastly longer period of time than Mike White.

So yes, Rodgers is more durable than White conceptually, but (as I've said repeatedly) JD still needed to plan for contingency anyway, which he did not.

Mike White was never going to be that plan regardless.  There were many better options.  Stress "were".

If I was the owner, I'd likely be firing the GM, Coach, Wilson and Rodgers (forcing him to trade or retire).

Signing Wentz or McCoy would have signaled to the 52 other guys on the roster that the Jets understand the problem.

Signing Trevor Siemien is pissing on a dumpster fire.

You will never find me in support of Trevor Siemien.  Not last time.  Not this time.
