I think Tim Boyle could be decent

Yet he played well in the pre season and clearly has a good arm and throwing motion. How did Wilson’s stats translate to the NFL?

The guy would not be picked up tomorrow if he was cut. Period. He’s bad. Move on.

Did you know that Tim Boyle went to UConn and in his three years there before transferring to Eastern Kentucky he threw one touchdown and 13 interceptions. In his redshirt senior season he threw 11 TDs and 13 picks? He’s been even worse in the NFL. He’s only got a job because of Aaron Rodgers and he has no business on a roster in the NFL.

In a way, he's kind of not actually on an NFL roster.

He has a lot of experience with this system

He played better than Wilson in the pre season

He has a nice arm and a very quick release

I definitely want to see Boyle before going to Simien

Serious question, did you watch him in those preseason games against 3rd and 4th stringers?

I’m curious how guys like this even make the NFL??

I'd like to see him get a chance to play and this week. He looked OK in preseason and actually more consistently ran the offense than Zach did. The team needs a jolt of some kind and a change could elevate the play of the entire team which on offense has been stagnant. And no beefs on the field with coaches and other players. The bottom line is this team doesn't function well with Zach under center.

And hence the age old adage that there is no position in football loved as much as back up QB.  You would think Streveler would have proven this out.

He sucks, he didn’t play better than anyone in the preseason.

If true, how does a clown like this get into the NFL? Hell, I'm trying out tomorrow....

He seems to have a really nice arm and make some really nice throws.  I actually like his release and how the ball comes off his hand considerably more than Siemian.  OTOH, he throws a sh*t ton of picks.  The one thing that Zach managed not to do in that abomination last week.  Of course that is easy when you never pull the trigger.

You are taking about zach Wilson ? Because there is not a chance in hell anyone is picking him up. Thanks to the Jets incompetence, he’s been able to prove how bad he is for 2+ years. Leaving no need for further auditions.

While he still sucks, I find it hard to believe he could be any worse then ZW. Boyle isn't scared to throw the ball, Z looks scared to play at all.

Exactly. Because it’s not humanly possible to do worse. The zach defenders will say “ he wouldn’t be that much of an upgrade even if he was.” Yes, but even slightly better likely gets a Win against the pats. We would have won handful more games last yr if we had a qb who was maybe ranked 28th, instead of worst qb in NFL by a mile.

I have zero opinion about Boyle. If he comes out and performs, then keep him in the lineup.

I'm confident that Tim Boyle is absolutely horrible at playing QB but I'm not convinced it would be worse than Zach Wilson.  Zach is too scared to throw a wide open crossing route 5 yards in front of him from a perfect pocket, I got a feeling Boyle would just let it rip and just that alone, is an upgrade.  Again, odds are he's really bad but I legit dont get why they couldnt just give him a few series if the offense continues to be stagnant.  What's the harm?  Other than bruising Zach Wilson's fragile mental state, which could result in what exactly?  Zach plays bad?  It's all so very confusing but hey, what do we know, apparently Zach has looked fantastic.
