The season starts in Denver

Recommended Posts

The 2023 Broncos defense might come down as one of the worst ever in the history of the NFL.

30. Denver Broncos

  • Previously: 24th in NFL defense rankings

After entering the season in the top 12, the Denver Broncos have plummeted down the NFL defense rankings in a single month. After surrendering 70 points and 726 total yards last week, Denver allowed the Bears’ offense to erupt for 471 yards with Justin Fields posting a 132.7 QB rating and Khalil Herbert rushing for over 100 yards. We can’t recall a defensive regression like this one. Fortunately, the Broncos’ secondary won’t be exposed as much by Zach Wilson in Week 5.

Denver just made fields look like a top 5 qb. Jets should win this game.

For a half.  Then they locked him down in the 2nd half.

Jet fans are re-energized after last night.  But so are the broncos and their fans.

They is going to be a tough game on the road.  We are going to have to play our best game of the season to win.  I think we can do it!

This will not be an easy game.  Denver has weapons and can score.  It is a must win if we want to save the season from going in the tank.

Stop the pussification!

Denver run defense is shifty. Miami ran for like 500 yds against them. You exploit weaknesses. If our coaches can't do that they are morons

Come on...how often of the head coaches of the New York Jets morons?...

Broncos favored by 2.5.  Vegas nailed this one.  Time for this team to show up and win a game.  No excuses.  A loss in Denver would be crushing to any hopes that might have been revived after last night.  A Defcon 3 thread at 7:30pm EST on Sunday is something nobody wants to see.

-Get the team  hyped from the get-go. No more slow 1st quaters.

-Rinse and repeat with Zach Wilson. Rodgers said in the McAfee show he wanted to visit Colorado. Now is the opportunity.  Be with the team.

-Stop taking momentum away from Breece Hall. Let him run. Deactivate Cook and activate Izzy.

-Give Ruckert and Gipson more snaps.

-Activate Hardman or Brownlee. Give the offense more options.

-Cut Bryce Hall. Bring up Craig James.

-Give Ashtyn Davis more opportunities.

-Can we see McDonald, our 1st round pick, play?

Agree on Ashton Davis.  Love the kid.  Hope we resign him this offseason.  Great special teamer and depth at safety.

well now that there letting Zach throw more it makes sense to bring in Hardman for his speed.

aparently Mcdonald has played and played last night Bart Scott said he didnt look good and is raw. he now knows why we dont see him much.

The Jets did it last year and I think they’ll do it again this year. Payton made this personal and I think the Jets will play like it. Think he wrote a check that his team isn’t prepared to cash

i agree Hall should get more carries but im fine with not running it down anyone throats. last night was one of the best games for Zach and our offense and we passes it 39 times to 16 runs to which 2 of them were QB scramble runs.

last night worked. lets not go back to 20 passes and 30 runs that get us no where.

Like you said we need to keep the more consistent passing and in turn that will open up the run more since it gets defenses yo have to play back more and not sit on routes. I know nobody wants to hear this but over the first month after the ARod loss now we mainly need to evaluate whether Zack is a long term solution at QB. If it is accompanied by playoff contention that is great, but we know beyond Rodgers stay at QB we need to see who it would be moving forward and Zack is the only one who can be evaluated at this point.

If we don't employ Hall against Denver and run it down their throats then our coaches are morons. Enough wasting so many snaps on Cook and Carter. It's killing drives

The Jets have a serious problem with vets underperforming over younger players behind them. Like Lawson, or Brown or Tomlinson or Cook or Uzomah and Cobb at times.

Even though we just witnessed a loss, we just saw a glimpse of what this team can be. A couple of mistakes and 2 or 3 really bad calls were the difference in a game against the defending champions. I hate the moral victory crap, because at the end of the day a win is a win and a loss is a loss, but you have to think this team just got a boost of confidence and has an even bigger chip on their shoulders. If this team can take this loss and use it as a boost, this is the game where we can get right and get rolling as our schedule starts to lighten up. This KC game gave me a little hope that this season may not be lost afterall.
