Popular Post KRL
- Too many mistakes and bad calls led to this loss: * Conklin drop in the end zone, instead of it being 17-9 it was 17-5 * Carter drop at the end of the half. Instead of picking up the first down and driving deeper into scoring territory you settle for the long Zuerlein miss * Mosley dropping an easy INT, which led to a FG which put KC up 20-12 * With the game tied at 20 and the Jets at midfield, the refs call illegal man downfield on an Uzomah catch he took down to the 35 * On Hall's long run (40+ yards) he broke inside into traffic and was tackled before getting into scoring territory. No points on that drive * Wilson's fumble down 23-20 at midfield * The awful holding call on Gardner that overturned Mahomes third INT * The multiple missed holding calls on KC LT (Taylor) on Johnson. Where he literally pinned Johnson's arm under his armpit and never let go - Cook is doing too much "pitty pat" with his feet and showing no explosion. If he can't bring more to the table it's time to de-activate him (save $$$ on his contract) and bring up Abanikanda - Quincy Williams is turning into a star (13 Tackles, 2 TFL, 2 PBU, QB Hit), he's harnessed his speed where he's not recklessly missing tackles/assignments anymore - Who would've ever thought that Wilson would outplay Mahomes, but he did and it wasn't even close. And if he can do it in that environment (Namath crushing him, down 17-0 and the crowd disgusted, NBC cutting to that skank Swift at every turn) he now needs to do it every game. If Wilson plays like that this team will shake off the 1-3 start and make the playoffs. I hate "moral victories" but I'll take it if Wilson can build on that performance and continue to be a "mini Rodgers" - The NFL better worry about their crappy officiating and stop with this Kelce/Swift "power couple" nonsense!!! Are they serious about the product they're putting on the field of more concerned about being "Hollywood Tonight"? I'm sick of holding my breath during every play and waiting to see if some ref wants to impact the game on a "ticky tack" call away from the action. Or worse totally missing an obvious call right in front of their face - Finally the whole Kelce/Swift thing seems fake and forced. Kelce all of a sudden is getting all these commercials (Bud Light, Pfizer) then "as payment" he gets Swift who pushes her upcoming tour film? And you have to wonder what's going on with Reid, how do you let Kelce leave the team hotel to get "sexy time" with Swift? Then he basically doesn't show up during the game 43 1 2 8 1
Popular Post #27TheDominator
I think you pretty much hit all the highlights. I vehemently disagree with any characterization of the Conklin miss as a "drop." That was a tough play. He had to lay out and the ground knocked the ball loose. The throw was decent, but he had to change speed to get to it and it was far from an easy catch. IMO the Wilson one was more on the receiver since if he'd gone all out the entire time he'd probably have been able to run under it, but no real complaints there either. I think there must have been some weird set or timing issue with the illegal man downfield play. That was a killer. Negated a big gain and they could not climb out of it to get the 1st down. I'm fine with piling on McGovern, but it seemed like Vera-Tucker was also sprinting down field on that one and McGovern just got out quicker. Somebody else, I think @slimjasi pointed out a couple of what seemed like obvious false starts on their RT were not called. At least one should have negated a big gain. 6 2

Popular Post Jetsplayer21
Rare a team plays near perfect. I’m sure if KC lost by 3 their fans would be pointing out just as long as a list. If the O and D both showed up in the 1st quarter, jets likely win by double digits. 5 1

One thig that was forgotten was that gutless call by coach to kick a fg and not go for it late in the 1st half. This coach is obsessed w/ kicking 50 plus yarders with Zeurlin. That was the biggest botch in the game. 1 1

Where he literally pinned Johnson's arm under his armpit and never let go Agreed. Frustrating loss -- to beat a top team like the Chiefs you can't make these kinds of mistakes. The bad calls against us were brutal but the Carter drop at the end of the half was a very easy play that really hurt us. 17 minutes ago, KRL said: - Cook is doing too much "pitty pat" with his feet and showing no explosion. Popular Post JoeNamathsFurCoat
Also JJ 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct on opening drive led to 3 pts for KC. And Mahomes botches snap but of course Jets can’t / don’t recover it. In addition, the following things are inexcusable: — Breece 6 totes, Cook 5 totes. I’d rather see Izzy get his shot or let Breece just carry the load. — Gipson only 2 touches. Dude is electric ⚡️ just need to keep feeding him the ball. Bottom line is the refs aka the league were never gonna let the Jets win this game. nj meadowlands
Breece must still be on a very strict pitch count. It was very frustrating seeing Cook trot onto the field (and promptly into the arms of a linebacker) in situations where it felt like one burst through a seam from Breece was all we needed to blow open a drive. I kept scanning the sideline for him thinking he was hurt. Hopefully they take the cellophane off in the next few weeks.

But doubt he'd get touches as a rookie. My point on brining in Cook was that Hall wasn't going to be himself to start the year. Which was true or else he would've had 2 long TDs week 1. So for me something better than Bam Knight getting 10 touches a game when we were a win now team with Rodgers was a need. Now we aren't SB contenders. I'm ok with pretty much not playing Cook. Play Izzy. 2
