Will Aaron Rodgers accept the back-up position?

If Zach Wilson continues to perform like he did against the Chiefs and makes great progress from it, will Aaron accept the back-up role for the future of this team?

One possibility would  also be a transitional role into the coaching staff.

The season has plenty games left to have a true evaluation of Zach Wilson. As a fan, I hope that he continues growing; skepticism will remain until a positive pattern is established.

Before last night Zach likely was heading to qb3. He blew game at end with rookie fumble. He still had a very good game. Going to take a bunch more to prove it wasn’t a fluke. If there was a NFL top 50 worst qb games of all time, Zach has about 10 himself on there.

LOL. Zach has an average QB day and now he is going to the Super Bowl.

This fan base is absolutely off their rocker.

If Rodgers is healthy and Zach squeaks them into the playoffs. Rodgers is playing.

It will most likely be Simeian to get them there, but that’s for another day.

Why are you exaggerating?  This is obvious hypothetical at best.  I am not a Zach Wilson fan by any means, but if he builds from yesterday and continues growing, then, what is the contingency moving forward? Would you want to bench him after performing well?

I know his fukiing resume. So, does it really matter what his past was if he grows and becomes steady. Be a fan first.

The answer is if Aaron is healthy to go, everyone else is sitting down no matter how well they did.

Regardless, sure. Let's bank on 40 year old QB, coming off major injury to be our 2024 savior. LMAO!

dang, 2 threads within 3 minutes of each other both talking about the possibility of Zach becoming a top 3 QB after he has a single good game. This is getting funny

Where did I say a top 3 QB? Was AR a top 3 coming into the season? No  So, why are you trolling? Answer, what is the contingency plan? Stop being a moronic troll.

I heard the flood water mixed the sewer water with drinking water in the South Bronx. Be careful, friend, that will ruin your brain.

Zach Wilson's performance statistically, if carried on through 17 games would put him in the top 5 QBs. You didn't need to say it for it to be obvious what you meant, because Rodgers isn't going to be replaced by Zach when he comes back unless Zach is top 3-5 anyways. He had a singular good game. I pointed this out and you assumed I was trolling.

I return the same call to action you gave to me back to you. Stop being a moronic troll. Well, actually, it's a free country. Feel free to batter me with insults, I have a block button if I really need to use it. I hope not to, some of your posts are actually pretty good.

Regardless, Zach should just get to a 25 TD -16 interception season first. He was Ok yesterday.

He had a chance last night to set his career in motion and what does he do 3 & out, with all the momentum.

Zach ties the game up at 20, defense comes on the field, obliterates the Chiefs in 3 plays, they punt.

All the momentum is in the Jets favor, and he goes 3 & out, that was the game right there.

Don't complain about the Refs or anything else. The Jets defense handed Zach the ball twice as the game was still tied, and he couldn't even squeak out a field goal to take the lead.

Rodgers at 40 is still better than Zippy.

The kid didn't have any reps with the first team and he was handcuffed prior to this game. Let's play Satan's advocate once in a while. What about the TD the he scored with his feet? Does AR has that type of mobility? LOL

My opinion? You should be limited to one thread per week Bronxy! 😘

You are just lazy as hell. Go help Max and bring some fresh ideas. Nah, you are too busy playing with big sticks.

Hypothetical. that's the key word. Did anyone expected AR to go down after 4 plays? No. Did anyone expected Zach to perform against the Chiefs? No. Anything is possible and there should be contingencies at all times.

You mean the 2 point conversion that he made harder than it should have been. Watch it again, he had a gaping hole with a blocker on a player to the left. It was wide open up the middle, as the play was designed that way, and he decides to run an extra 8 yards to the left and barely get in.

I think we all would love to see Zach actually play like a real NFL QB every game during the season and not just last night. But like the Asia rock song from 1980’s “Only Time Will Tell”.

Right now after just 1 game nobody is sold yet that we will be seeing the new & improved Zach 2.0 every week.

If he can play the same way against the Broncos on Sunday and especially against the Eagles in 2 weeks it will go along way to start making people believe he is for real.

He made some great throws yesterday as well. Again, I have been anti-Zach Wilson pre-draft and throughout his career, but, he did show promise yesterday, and as a fan you want to build from good energy moving forward.  Is he going to be consistent?  Who the F knows, but it would be a great story nevertheless.

Zach had a great game but it's 1 game. Let's see if he continues to build on this or he regresses before you annoint him as franchise QB. No Rogers would not accept being backup but if the Jets use 5th year option Zach isn't going anywhere for 2 years.
