JSN watch

At least EDGE rusher is a premium position and worth a shot.

Quality slot receivers go undrafted all the time.

This is a really good point. Finding the elite edge guy is a game changer. Good times find slot guys every year.

So a post was opened to justify not picking JSN while the guy we picked has been worse.

You complain about Jets fans when you are the biggest flip flopping Jets fan on this board.

Ok, but can somebody fact check whether Carroll and Scheider said this to JSN during the draft night "call":

"Don't worry, kid, you don't have to worry about lifting anybody else up.  This organization is gonna lift you up."

Still find it odd for that to have been the head coach's first words to the freaking #2 overall pick in the draft.

I did not flip flop, the team flip flopped.  I had 3 years of evidence that this qb could not move the offense.  And when that happens, this defense goes in the tank.

The team flip flopped from looking awful for 3 years to competent in 1 game.  Dont you dare say Im the flip flopper.

  • 4 games
  • 12 catches on 20 targets
  • 62 yards
  • 0 TDs
  • 15.5 yards per game
  • 3.1 yards per target
  • Average Depth of Target:  1.3 yards
  • QB Rating when targeted:  44.2
  • 1 INT when targeted, 1 drop

And he just got cut in my fantasy money league (no one will be picking him up).
Oof.
Everyone who said we should draft this slot receiver extraordinaire with our 1st round pick should feel bad about that.
Meanwhile .. I went to every McDonald's in the area searching for Will .. but I still cannot find the guy.

Like you and others wouldn't be starting threads left and right if JSN was lighting up the league.

JSN 12 catches 62 yards behind Lockett and Metcalfe and a team playing lots of two and three TE sets

Cobb 3  catchs 20 yards

Hardman 1 catch 6 yards.

Can you do an updates on Puka Nacua, jordan addison, tank dell, zay flowers  and all the other non priority positions?

Not everyone lives and dies by the box score. He's on a loaded roster and after the first two weeks of the season was number 2 in the NFL in separation per route run.

Your first point in bold explains the latter point.

He's got 2 quality receivers ahead of him giving him space as the slot yet he still can't make plays.

Well, his average target depth is 1.3 yards - I'm not sure separation per route run is very useful when you are catching screens.

maybe our new GM Aarron Rodgers said no to a slot WR since he wanted his buddies Cobb and Lazzard here which i believe they were already here before the draft. plus i think Corey Davis was here too.

so that would have put him at WR5.

idk maybe someone will ask GM Rodgers at his next press conference.

1) Will McDonald doing nothing so far does not make JSN the correct pick by default.

2) EDGE rusher doing nothing early in his career >>>> slot receiver doing nothing early in his career.  One in is a premium position.  The other is not.

DL takes more time to learn at the NFL level.
A slot receiver shouldn’t.
