If the Jets were looking for a particular player , who do you think that player or players should be ?

I like the addition of 1 of Denver's WRs   Jeudy preferred .

Don't we expect that they would all hate Hackett?

It really depends on Zach these next few games. If he switches back to the old zach then we should be sellers. Get rid of Lawson, Mosley, Tomlinson, anyone else old with expiring contracts.

if he somehow turned a corner then trade for someone like a WR

Lawson maybe. He’s been losing reps.  Not getting rid of Mosley or Tomlinson.

What’s the point of keeping them? If Zach sucks then this season is a wash. See if you can get a mid round pick out of them and throw in the young guys.

I actually would prefer Sutton. Not sure what is reasonable, but a 3rd and Mecole works for me. His contract for 2024/2025 would be reasonable for us.

He’d give our offense flexibility. We can then move GW around to exploit mismatches. GW can play the slot. If the game dictates him playing outside, then put Lazard in the slot.

HAHHAHAHA.  That died when Rodgers went down.  It will still happen, but will be this offseason instead of this month.

We should be looking for a wr since douglas botched that part in the off season but i doubt if we make any moves.

As an aside Mimsy has a new gig as Pittsburgh put him on their psquad.

I think Corey retiring was the part we'd need to know about. If Douglas was aware that was a possibility during FA or the Draft then I agree.

I'd like to take a look at Tee Higgins with Cincinnati going belly up

I could have sworn there was this super obnoxious poster who told all of us, repeatedly (using plenty of capital letters and exclamation points each time), that Davante Adams was guaranteed to be a Jet at the trade deadline. Are you saying that guy was wrong?

Jets should be sellers if possible.  Cook, Cobb, anyone over the age of 30 frankly.  Dump um' all.

The "oh, we'll just make a big run in 2024 now with Rodgers rubber achilles and his old folks home pals" is pure fantasy IMO.

I don’t mind getting younger and very much agree about Cook in particular, but Rodgers is going to be the QB here in 2024, barring a miraculous run from Zach Wilson.

The answer is Davante Adams, you cowards

The only answer in my mind, if Zach doesnt sh*t the bed we have a legit chance at the playoffs.

And you know Rodgers is taking his aya and doing his stem cells, he might be ready for the playoffs…

I see us possibly unloading a RB, TE or a DL for an OL or WR

I don’t see the team trading future draft picks for a player this year, that’s for sure. I mean, unless Zach turns back into a pumpkin and they can get Cousins for a fourth round pick. Otherwise, I don’t see it. Can see them potentially unloading one/last-year players for picks, though. Player for player trades are so rare, but I imagine Joe would be open to the right deal.

There is something 'more to the story' on the whole Corey Davis thing.

I think they were making him take  pay cut and he saw all the guys the brought in to replace him.  But that  is just baseless speculation on my part.

We need a T. Our G is playing T and our future C is playing G until we get back a bad T from injury to start for us and re-shuffle the o-line again. No bueno. Bite the bullet and trade for a RT, then move Becton to LT and bench Brown.

Or his retirement, which is what I'm vaguely hoping for.

It's not going to play out the way people want.  It's gonna be sad, and pathetic.  And the last stop before a total teardown starts again.

If the line plays better with AVT at T, then he is a tackle.  Frankly, considering the price of the 5th year option and the franchise tag I feel much better about him playing tackle than guard.  Guard is also much easier to fill with a mid-level FA or 2nd/3rd day pick.  Of course, Douglas has tried that and failed, so time will tell.

It would be interesting to see if they could trade Cook.  If they eat a decent amount of the salary it might be possible if someone believes it is the stacked box killing him and not him sucking.  Real issue is that Miami was the other team "in" on him and I can't see making that deal and besides, they seem like they would have no use for him now anyway.
