Bocajetfan
With a lack of continuity in training camp I felt it would take at least 4 games to establish some semblance of consistency. This is the new NFL real training camp begins week 1 of the regular season. The O-line will gel and look better as the season progresses. 2
jetsfan4life72
If Tippmann gets moved to Center and brings stability that could be massive, especially with McGovern always in Zach’s lap. But is it smarter to keep him at RG for now since he’s proved he can play at a high level? 1

Gives us versatility to pick up a new T, G or C since they can play all over. If we want to go BPA or developmental QB round 1 then round 3 can be BPA at any OL position.

Popular Post UntouchableCrew
Am I missing something or does anyone else specifically remember Chris Jones blowing by Tippman like he was standing still Sunday Night on one play? Not saying he didn’t today play well but I’m dubious of that “zero pressures” stat.

jetstream23
7 hours ago, Rich Thornburgh said: The OL just needed to be purged of Duane Brown Quite possibly. There's little doubt in my mind that JD is in the market for yet another veteran OT this coming offseason. Hopefully this time he gets one a little further away from obtaining his AARP card. Who will be the next Fant/Moses/Brown for the Jets? JD has been here four years and he's used the FA approach with those three as well as drafting pure OTs like Becton, Mitchell and Carter Warren. Yet there's still a very realistic probability that the Jets have zero starting caliber OTs on the roster come March. (I'm not including AVT who has been an absolute savior for this OLine and is getting close to a big payday!)

I couldnt find another time that Tippman was on Jones and he got beat. Maybe I am wrong.

Chiefs put a bunch of bodies on the line and then sent a late stunt. AVT and Tippman blocked the same guy. McGovern blocked the guy that Carter chipped and the late stunt ran around right by Tippman who was late.
rangerous
Wasn’t tippman being maligned not too long ago? He’s now starting and playing well. Just how any first or seconded rounder should develop.

Barton
Few things: 1. Jets were gonna keep this guy on the bench if it wasnt for Duane Brown getting injured. 2. He looks damn good. Strong as an ox and very athletic. 3. Not sure what games they are watching but he has given up a pressure or two.

Becton, AVT, Mitchell, Tippmann, Warren. Let's be real. AVT was a great pick. Tippman looks great so far. Becton has a miserable injury history, gained a ton of weight during rehab, blamed the coaches for his injury despite poor rehab and hasn't proven he can handle speed rushers. He looks better, but way too early to switch from Bust to solid. Mitchell looked good at first but lost the job in training camp. Too soon to say. Warren, hasn't played a down yet. Hope I can say he did a good job with all of them. Thing certainly look better. Hope we can agree in the coming weeks. A solid offensive line has been the second biggest problem on this team.
