Barry McCockinner
What are we going to do w/this guy when he comes back? If Becton continues to play better at LT it would be foolish to put Brown back there IMO. He played a little RT in college but that was like 100 years ago and he's never played there in the NFL.
nj meadowlands
Has Becton really been "great" or just serviceable? In light of the AVT injury, if Becton can play both LT and RT, and Brown can only play RT, it's best for the team to do that for now. If Brown gets hurt, or it turns out he's just totally washed, we'll adjust. But for now: LT - Brown LG - Tomlinson C - McGovern RG - Tippman RT - Becton (Would seem that running right becomes a good idea again with this lineup)
Popular Post slimjasi
Either backing up Becton at LT or RT if Mitchell is a disaster (and I don’t think he will be) but, at this point, I look at him as a backup until proven otherwise he was pretty bad before he went on IR
Adoni Beast
We aren't winning the Super Bowl this year and while I'm not advocating for a tank right now I think a real effort of giving players like Zach Wilson, Becton (at LT), and before the injury AVT (at RT) time to solidify their positions is high priority. I think we need to know what we have with Becton at LT. Is he going to be the guy or not? Or to a lesser extent is he going to be worth a franchise tag or not? Move Brown to RT or keep him as a backup at LT. He was terrible before he got hurt anyway.

BigRy56
Worst case scenario, he is there if Becton gets hurt and unfortunately history tells us that's a decent possibility
FTL Jet Fan
Be interesting to see since Zach loves rolling to his right. Running behind Becton and Tippman would be ideal. Don’t know if they will move Becton again.

Maxman
Have to keep Becton at RT and see what he can do this year. Need that data... Brown goes to RT. Never played there before. Okay that is fine. You will figure it out.
Larz
They’ll need him at sone point. Let him practice and get in shape and then be ready.

MykePM
I’m not against having Brown “learn” to play RT and starting there if/when he shows comfort and proficiency at it. It’s kind of a crazy, maybe impractical, idea, but I’d be tempted to tell Becton that if he commits to the team by signing a reasonable extension now, they’ll commit to him as their future LT by continuing to play him there. Joe W. Namath
Depends on how the RT plays this week. If mitchell gets abused, Becton will go back to RT and brown will play LT. If Mad Max plays well, brown will ride the pine for the forseeable future.
GangGreened
He should sit behind Becton. But you know Saleh is handing him that LT job the moment he’s cleared.
Rhg1084
Sign La’el Collins - this is your new depth chart: LT: Becton, Brown LG: Tomlinson C. Mcg RG: Tippman RT: Mitchell/Collins This seems like the best course of action to me we shall what JD decides.

KRL
Brown should get no concessions, if he can stay healthy he can compete for the RT spot. Becton is the LT and shouldn't be flipped for a guy who may get hurt again. Hopefully Mitchell will take the RT spot and Brown can be a backup

Brown should be the swing tackle and can spell LT when Becton needs some rest for his knee or goes out a little bit in games from that like in Denver.

GreenFish
Becton is coming around as a LT. Enough with moving him around. I say keep Becton permanently at LEFT TACKLE until the bye week. 👀

Barton
Becton has been decent. Not moving great laterally. Maybe shaking off some rust I hope. But still decent. Moving him off LT right now would be stupid.
sourceworx
My hope is Becton and Max Mitchell take the tackle jobs and run with it. Let Brown ride the bench the rest of the year.
