Sauce Garder - DJ Whitehead

As if things weren’t already bad enough for the New York Jets, Sauce Gardner is now officially out for today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.  The second-year star defender was diagnosed with a concussion and won’t be able to go.

Oddly enough, Gardner took to x, formerly know as twitter, to say that the “crazy part” of the situation was the fact that he feels “perfectly fine”

The loss of Gardner couldn’t come at worse time as the Jets already knew they’d be without cornerbacks  DJ Reed and Brandin Echols due to a concussion and hamstring injury respectively.

Having to go to battle without their top three corners in facing one of the most lethal pass catching combinations in the NFL is far from ideal.  In fact, expect the Eagles to make easy work of the Jets unless Gang Green comes out blitzing early and often to rattle Jalen Hurts and give their secondary a chance to make a play.

This will be super interesting to watch.

-Will the Jets stick with the next man up mentality and trot Hall and James out there or will they try something different like playing Carter II on the outside?

-Will they straight and refuse to let philly attack the mismatches one on one on the outside?

-Are the Jets going to compensate by bringing the blitz, which we all know they never do?

-Maybe we see more of a safety rotation with all of our safeties healthy.

-And most importantly. How well will it work and how will Ulbrich adjust.

Hall is coming off a pretty good game and I have been absolutely roasting Hall lately considering he used to be our #1 CB and used to play like one, now he can barely make the team. But he stepped up last week and gets a big shot to show hes not done in this league. James gets his own massive shot to play and hes a guy that should have made the team based on his play early in camp. He got banged up and was pretty much eliminated from consideration once roster cuts rolled around. I think James is a quality JAG and you can get a solid game out of him in a spot like this.

If s**t hits the fan I think you have to seriously consider moving Michael Carter out to the outside (to replace whoever is getting roasted) and put Amos in the slot.
