NFL League Office Admits Another Blown Call That Hurt Jets

There has to be some actual compensation tied to these blown calls.

These apologies are more useless than toilet paper.  At least you can wipe with the latter.

Something like:

3 blown calls = 7th rounder

5 = 6th rounder

Jets’ level = 1st rounder

I like the idea, but we all know the NFL would stop admitting blown calls if that was to happen. A shame, because Jets would get like 30 1st round picks.

At the VERY LEAST, coaches should be allowed to challenge non-calls the same as calls.  Holding back a flag is the surest way for a ref to tip a game because the other team can't challenge.  This isn't a close one.  This is egregious and it happens often in Eagles games.  It's like someone told Johnson "you get an extra second head start that we won't call".

Honestly, this is one thing AI would probably do a much better job of than human refs in real time.  But barring that, you have to let teams challenge this crap.

This happens all the time.   That’s why when they called it on Becton it was trash.  Selective enforcement is the biggest problem.

They should just go the way of the CFL there and only call false starts if it truly has an effect on the play outcome.

Put a clock on it and have a computer call it automatically.  Some of this stuff can be fair with the technology of today.   Ball snaps - tackles get .5 seconds grace period, guards .1.    Done.

My brother the Phins Fan send me some vids of the bad calls/non-calls from their game vs. the Eagles.

Proof positive IMO that this isn't any anti-Jets or Jets-specific anything, it's just truly bad, extremely inconsistent officiating.

But by all means, if someone can prove a Ref is on the take, then prove it.  It wouldn't be the first (or last) sports scandal like that.

Actually, that's a great idea. I do wonder why they haven't done that yet. It seems pretty easy to do something like that. It can already detect players and how much they move.

Zach isn't a scrub.

He currently has yet to prove he isn't. By all metrics (Except 4th down passer rating) he is a scrub. He may very well be trending up, but as of now he is still a scrub.

Aaron Rodgers was never supposed to be on this team and the outcome was obvious; to allow the growth and stardom of our franchise QB.
