The Gun Of Bavaria
After one home run Friday night, the Tigers hold the major league record for the most home runs through the first four games of the season: TEAM HR YEAR Detroit 16 2006 Seattle 13 1998 N.Y. GimmeShelter
Tough division with Cleveland and the WSox but a great start for Detroit. Line-up looks as good as Motor City fans predicted led by Chris Shelton. Did we really entertain Cano vs Shelton discussions last year? SP spots 3-5 will be the key for Detroit. The pen once Jones returns looks good with Rodney coming of age and Zumaya throwing smoke.

Yankees 12 2003 Chicago Cubs 12 1955 and how many of those teams won the World Series? I think the streak will still be intact at the end of the year at: ZERO! The Gun Of Bavaria
and how many of those teams won the World Series? I think the streak will still be intact at the end of the year at: ZERO! When you've been a Tigers fan since age 5 and the last WS win was when you were 10, you'll take it where you can get it. None of us have any illusions about where the Tigers will be at the end of the season which is almost certainly not in the playoffs. But for now we'll take a winning season and the fun of being competitive again.
