Allegiant Stadium is over rated

So while we are all bitching, let me say this. I don’t get the appeal of that stadium? Went last night. No good tailgate  scene, directly on an interstate which makes the walk hard from the strip. Looked like a black box, couldn’t see in. I’m like is this a football stadium? Go in the windows are tinted like some sh*tty casino. Which by the way, it’s basically in an industrial park at the end of the strip. They have this stupid art deco sh*t in there and the bathrooms? Don’t get me started. Like only 10 urinals each so there’s a wait everywhere. Ehh don’t get the appeal. The grass isn’t always greener boys…

The appeal is that its in Vegas.  If that's appealing to anyone to begin with.

Well Vegas is a transient sort of city where you have tons of out of towners coming and going on vacations and long weekends. And a very new NFL city. Tailgate scenes are usually upheld by the die hards over generations and generations...the Raiders in Vegas just don't have that

Having it on an interstate...I mean don't most peopled drive to games? That kind of makes sense. Most people going to those games probably won't be walking from the strip. Especially in September when it's 100

What do you guys want a stadium to do?  Carry you to your seat and feed you?

You go to eat food, watch a game and hang out with your buddies.

This obbsession with MetLife sucks, other stadiums are great is so weird.

Agree. Have no issues with MetLife. I don’t like domes

You don’t like temperature controlled environments?

Having an outdoor stadium in the desert in the Fall is fine, but brutal in the summer.

It was like 108 degrees outside when I was there and felt hotter than that.

Imagine trying to enjoy a football game under those conditions.

I thought it was pretty nice and the lighting and screens and atmosphere was well done inside. I liked that all the stairs in the stands were the same size. For being on the strip its pretty easy to get to. Concessions were ridiculously priced.  Agree on the bathrooms, way more capacity is needed. Not really a tail gaiter so really can't comment on that but seemed like a pretty good amount where I came in at.  I have limited exposure to stadiums but I liked it

I like Allegiant.

Never been to MetLife so can’t comment or compare.

The best part is they play on natural grass despite it being an indoor facility.

If you like being at a football game, eating good food and hanging with your buddies, you will love Metlife stadium as you would any stadium.

I went last week. Had a great time pre-game with the guys at the tailgate. Being on field for the Anthem was amazing.... and because of the ****ed up layout and ridiculous access/egress issues, by the time I got from the End Zone to my seats in the upper deck the game was already 14-0.

The food venues were TERRIBLE for an NFL stadium in this day and age, and getting out of the stadium lot was insanity. And the stadium itself, the stands are offset so far back from the field, its like watching a game in a park across the street from a high rise. Meh facility, all around.

Las Vegas is over-rated.  You could not pay me to go to Vegas.

This.  I was out here this weekend.  At the game yesterday.  Vegas is definitely not for everybody, and by that I mean it is not for me.  The crowds, the lines everywhere.  Just too many people everywhere -- ok, I am an introverted loner which is probably why I spend so much time on line, so this is definitely not the place for me.

Flying back home in a couple of hours, but I have absolutely no interest in coming back, but I did like the stadium.  I assume the lack of tailgating may have more to do with the nearby casinos, encouraging people to stay in the nearby bars/casinos up until game time rather than spending several hours eating and drinking your own food/drinks in the parking lot.

It's a sh*t hole.  Even the clean parts suck.  I'm not into all the "high rollers" and swank.  The whole place is as shallow as a skillet.  I know lots of people like that stuff and that's fine,  For me, the idea of spending any time and money there is laughable.  Much rather visit Europe or somewhere else that is loaded with culture and history.

There's a way to do Vegas like a local, stay off strip, visit the red rocks, rent a house with a grill, it's actually very decent.

Great golf I really want to play tpc summerlin one day

But if you are staying at a casino it's like being plugged into the matrix. There's nice clubs and pool cabanas scenes but you don't want to be there 24-7 it's a soul stealer
