Joe Douglas' 3 year plan

Recommended Posts

joes plan is to buy a few more years for joe

the jets should send a check to all season ticket holders to reimburse them for their purchase-at least 50% off for watching only half of a team- the jets sold a bill of goods to fans and failed to deliver-this I know will NEVER happen but I am glad I am no longer writing that check every year-I have done so much more enjoyable things with that money that used to be allocated to tickets-I would actually rather light that money on fire then send it to Woody

The whole organizational structure is rotten. Zero accountability from anyone. Douglas and Saleh deserve to be shown the door, but the operational tactics the Jets employ stem from Woody and the business side. The football side will always take direction from them- hence why Wilson has been allowed to play for so long. Or why the coach can brag about how much golf he plays. Or the GM being in witness protection for 5 years.

17-43 (so far). What else do we need to know?

And yet, if the Jets win a ring with Rodgers next year (or in 2025). Or even get us a SB appearance. All will be forgiven.

The coach has seven kids, runs a professional football team, and still manages to golf. The Jets' winning football games isn't a priority.

And to text with Joe Benigno after games for an hour.

It’s crazy how that hasn’t been discussed more. These guys are making millions of dollars and Saleh moonlights on the board of Golf Digest.

When you wiff on the QB the way Joe Douglas did... it's hard to recover. Thankfully he has built up a good enough team around the QB to likely buy him another shot. A healthy Rodgers next year will mean a very good season and a good season means an extension for Joe Douglas. He will be the GM to get another shot at drafting a QB

It's not about winning it's about the culture.  The ritual holding penalties, the lovely executed roughing penalties on third down, the beautifully executed pirouette that Dalvin Cook executed on a defensive jail break up the middle.   The little things that make this team the Jets.

The franchise is in the same state, if not worse than when he got here.

Hard to fathom, when we had all that draft capital.

His inability to build a durable o-line will cost him his job. Becton instead of Wirfs felt wrong at the time. Trading up in the first round for a guard was not the most optimal use of draft resources. Vikings traded down and took Darrisaw in our original spot.

Free agency has been a disaster. Tomlinson a huge swing and miss. Even when he found a value pick-up in Moses, he opted not to re-sign him.

Signing Rodgers was a mistake although I believe Woody was pulling

the strings. Both offensive linemen he used ones on were wrong.  Taking

an out of shape Becton with a questionable work ethic is obvious.

Following with a solid yet short armed guard, less obvious was

not taking Darrisaw a better O line prospect than both and including

two threes.  One of which could have been used on Amon- Ra St Brown
