Is Saleh trying to hint that "The ZW pick wasn't my fault"?

If so, I really dislike that.  Zach Wilson has been nothing but a class act here.  He's taken criticism from every direction and never complained or said a bad word about anyone.  It feels like rats jumping off a ship.   And Connor Hughes is the biggest d-bag reporter we've probably ever had (and I say that even if he's just reporting on someone else's question).

No he's not hinting. He is deliberately saying it and that's really an immature move to do publicly via the media.

Say you "I told you so's" in private meetings with Douglas. But doing it this way is only demonstrating that you are selling yourself to your next job and have given hope on this one.

That’s not the way I took it. He reflected back and likely discussed issues with their process. Or you could be right. There were whispers that the coaches wanted Darnold over Zach.

Don’t disagree. But Douglas literally never speaks. Saleh has been having to answer for this for 2.5 years now. This was always going to happen.

Saleh is not HC material, plain and simple. The Jets have won games they shouldn't have, and lost games they should have won. He is never prepared. With the exception of offense we have many good players on this team. The offense has no imagination for the last 2 years. It's not going to change until they get someone in here with creativity.

Would have been ok with that as well, and traded the #2 for a boat load to really fill this team with offensive talent. That was JD's biggest mistake so far.

I just think it's a bad look. GM's don't speak to the media like coaches do, that comes with the job. The intention is only to make himself look better. It does nothing to help build team morale, highlight organizational alignment, etc. It is simply good 'ol ass preservation and I don't respect that.

I'm not a big Francesa fan and most times I think he throws a lot sh!t at the wall for headlines etc but he also gets some good insight at times. But I think it was a year ago he said something that caught my ear and it was about him hearing Saleh was an "immature head coach." Now that is very specific and it's not headline grabbing like "SALEH DOESN'T KNOW OFFENSE! SALEH HATES WOODY!" etc. I think there is some validity to that statement and it appeared a few times this year and last:

"I'm keeping receipts and going to shove it down everyones throats..."

"We embarrassed all the QBs we faced"

Not excusing Saleh but you're insane, JD should be in cruise control until he's fired (they all should). The guy has a 30% win percentage in 5 years as the GM of this team, he can't make any other decison as the GM of the team unless is sending his resignation letter.

I agree.   He has taken all of the punches.  I maintain he has all of the physical talent any qb would love to have.
