Season is over. Now what?

Stick a fork in them. We are probably not winning another game this year and I'm fine with that.  Just don't want to see Zach ever take another snap as a Jet. We finish at 4- 13 that gets us at the very least a top 7 pick.  Forward. To next year. Who's in, who's out. What's the roster going to possibly look with some new additions.   I know its been a difficult year for Jets fans but keep trying to be optimistic.  If there's a silver lining to the putrid season, its clearly evident Zach will NOT be on this team next year.  So with further ado, chime in your players you'd like to see to right this ship. 

1st - Fix the OL once and for all. 

OL - LT ?  LG - Lake,  C - Tipman, RG - AVT  RT Becton ?  Subs: Michell, Warren McGovern, Sweitzer  #1 pick has to be a tackle: There are 3 top blue chip tackles and we will get one even if we slide to 10. Also JD needs to sign a FA tackle. 

Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State, Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame, JC Latham, OT, Alabama 

QB: Rodgers  BU QB: Winston The NFL is about points. This guy can put up points. Draft Round 6  QB Joe Milton Tennessee  6'5 235  Big Arm  

2nd Trade for Davante Adams.  Raiders are rebuilding and he's got crazy history with Rodgers. Makes too much sense. Probably a pick this year and a pick next year.  

WR's: Lazard, Adams, G Wilson for now. Who else???? Round 4 Ladd McConkey GA  Love this kid. So much fun to watch. 

RB's:  Izzy, Breece  who else? 

DL: McDonald, Woods, QW, JJ,  Huff, JFM and others - Still have an elite DL. 

LB's QW,  The rest suck . Whos out there? Devin White. Only 26 and in his prime.  

DB's: Reed, Sauce, MC2, Whitehead, Echols, Davis, Hall, Adams, Clark 

K: Zuerlin

P - Morestead

Then, next year, watch less and lesser earlier into the the season so as NOT to ruin your Sundays every year.  You have to ween yourself off this heavy drug Hex colour #003F2D (known on the street as "Hunter Green") that has you in its grips.

Without a 2nd rd pick, Douglas is going to try and get some extra picks. I can see him trading back to a team desperate for a QB. If he gets 2 first rounders, then I think he trades one to the raiders for Adams. He’s going quantity over quality.

Need to fix the O line is 1,2,3 & 4 of importance for next season. The current lineup is injury prone and flat out no good. Fire the O line coach and sign 2-3 starters with Tippman and McGovern.

Not the exact moves I’d want but a solid off-season plan. Winston at backup QB I’d definitely be on board with. Like you said, at the least he’s going to put up points.

The draft has sucked since it left Radio City .. actually more like the Sheraton in the 80s when it was non stop for 2 days

i think it going to be hard to keep Huff if your getting Adams and that big contract. lot of holes to be filled.

No way are we giving up a #1 for Adams. But I do like the idea of trading back into the 1st round and picking up an extra pick.  There's some good OL in this draft.

Huff is a must resign. Mosely and Lawson free up tons and we aint giving Becton big bucks. Either he signs a 1 year friendly deal or let him chug off into the sunset.

Come Sundays I could not care less where we end up in a draft that's months away. I don't tune into game to figure out the draft. I tuned in to watch my team pull some lucky good plays out their ass and our boys bring home a victory! i want that feel good I get after the fat lady sings and the Jets have at least one more point.

We could lose a bunch of games, get all bummed out, but draft player A.

Or we could win a bunch of late games, cheering wildly. enjoy the win, but the draft player B.

With the draft such a crap shoot there's no telling how much better player A will be over Player B

So I sit back, hope to win every game, then when he season ends I hope Joe Douglas nabs us some good players!

Adams contract is 1 year $17.5m if traded (no one is keeping him at $36m and $37m the following years with no guaranteed money)

I agree on Huff though. Would love him but I think he gets tagged and traded either this offseason in a panic move by JD or next offseason after an All In run.

i think thats why we drafted McDonald. to replace Huff. 

Rogers cap goes up 10 mil next year to 17 mil. and then balloons to 51.5 mil in 2025. theres not that much room when you consider that.

i think we can survive McDonald replacing Huff. need that money to make the offense better and get a good replacement for Mosely. he is our leading tackler, cant just put anybody there.

This is a good point....this is my approach under the impression that Rodgers comes back to play next year. Then all resources should be put into 2024.

HOWEVER, if Rodgers does not come back to play 2024, which I think is a very likely possibility, then it is green light to kick Douglas and Saleh in the behind, and yes start over.
