Zach should get another shot

"Better chance" doesn't necessarily translate into winning.

Just means exactly that, "better chance".

Miami is a better team.

Tim Boyle made the mistake of attempting a pass.

A well-programmed robot would never do such a thing.

Yes cause leaning on Breece and his 2.7 ypc in November is going to result in higher winning odds especially when they will be expecting every drive

Yep, the first major battle, Bull Run/Manassas.  The spectators expected a "blowout" for the Union forces and ended up getting nearly overrun by the battle as they escaped the scene.  The roads to DC (a 7-hour carriage ride back from Centreville) ended up getting clogged up as a result.

There were even food vendors at the event.

Got to see that battle reenacted on the big anniversary, was quite the thing to see.  Cannons and all.

He is.

Yet he is better in every statistical metric than Zach Wilson.

Comp%, 58.9% to 56.6%

Passing YPG:  200.8 to 186.4

TD Rate:  4.0% to 2.2%

INT Rate:  Both at 2.6%

QB Rating:  81.1 to 71.9

Zach is 11-20 or .354, with one team and mostly consistent Coaching.

Siemian is 13-17 or .433, on 4 different teams, and rarely getting #1 QB Reps.

Again, Siemian is superior.

So far, you're not making a compelling argument Zach is better or more deserving of starting.  Over Boyle, absolutely.  Not over Siemian.

Nobody is trading for Semien, ever.

Zach could net us a 5th round pick, who knows what that could turn into?

Difference is Zach probably could have done something on that play. He fell for no reason. Brady did self-sack when he was about to get taken down because he had an elite pocket presence and wanted to avoid injury.

I wasn’t comparing the players. I was just mentioning Brady’s productive use of the intentional self sack. I don’t think Wilson’s self sack was intentional at all.

And how is Zach's entirely theoretical and currently unverifiable trade value improved by his playing as poorly as he has pretty much his entire career?

Seems more like you're just a Zach homer/truther who still thinks Zach can be good if  only, if only, if only.  In this case, if only he gets another shot.  Because you've really got no logical basis for wanting more Zach at this point.

With Rodgers practice window opening up its idiotic that Boyle is starting

Zach gives this team the best chance to win

Yup

And Halle Berry is knocking on my door in about 30 minutes asking me to go for a ride with her in her Aston Martin convertible

post the records with and without Zach

the unfortunate reality is he is the best QB on the roster sans Rodgers

it is not always about records and numbers

first we are comparing zach, boyle and Simien  - equate that to eating chicken that is raw in the counter for a day before cooking, white castle cheeseburgers that you found under the back seat form a week ago during a drunken binge or anything with mayo on it. All 3  suck

I am not suggesting any one of these qb's is any good nor am I suggesting any one of the 3 could reel off 3 wins in a row but what I would say is if there is some optimism in the locker room that #8 is back with the team and the miracle of miracles could happen that he is back on 12/24, you trot Zach out there against ATL and this offense will have a revolt

Sure his numbers might be better then the other two but his ceiling is either the same or worse. At least with boyle or Simien, the players on offense can dream that they can put a few games together.

There is no such hope with #2.

HE didn’t beat anyone.

You can count on one hand that lost a couple fingers in an industrial accident the # of games the Jets didn’t win in spite of Zach Wilson.

ok calm down dude. LMFAO. Technically he did, which is why its funny. But go ahead. Scream at how bad he is if it makes you feel better. The dude is a 3rd stringer on a team full of bad QBs and will most certainly get cut in the offseason despite the dead cap.

Yeah, not allowed to be pissed about a # 2 overall pick who is finally the QB3 where he belongs but only after destroying 3 seasons.

I can play that too...who has more touchdowns in the last 4 games? Zackie poo or the human Boil?

Sent from the FOREVER AND EVER Suicide Watch desk.

Huh? A garbage time tuddy down 3 scores

Uzomah dropped a TD in his hands with Zach

what really plagued the offense was all the backbreaking penalties they were moving the ball for a good stretch of games

wins are what matters if we’re making a push for the offs with Rodgers not a TD down 30 pts

Can it get worse?

the ONLY logical basis is playing Zach to boost his value. Boyle cannot play College quarterback let alone pro football let’s be serious here.

So far, you're not making a compelling argument Zach is better or more deserving of starting.  Over Boyle, absolutely.  Not over Siemian.

Even those are grading Siemian on a negative curve, seeing how his last start for Denver & only start for the Jets the year after that he took less than 30% of the snaps for a total of 70 yards between the two games. Plus there was another his rookie year where he also threw just 7 passes. Three such games with a cumulative 3-game total of 13/22-138-1-1 drops his career ypg numbers by almost a good 20 ypg when he's had just 30 starts. And what's nuts is per-game numbers are still better, smh.

Since leaving the Jets, 12 TDs : 4 INTs (plus 1 rushing TD and 1 fumble lost) in 7 games. Similarly low completion percentage for a lot of ball-control (low attempt numbers), sure, but overall consider the comparison ffs -- plus he's a 3rd string QB who was on the street to begin the season, and despite all the QB injuries no one saw fit to poach him off our practice squad all this time. And incredibly, he's still better.

When it's 30 degrees outside it's freezing, yes, but 5 degrees is noticeably colder.

Zach has a stronger arm, is more mobile, and probably has a faster release. All that gets trumped by him having a slower football brain.
