Brenjetsfan
I hear a Detroit 911 caller thought a 6 year old boy was making a prank because he called an said his mom was sick....she told him to put an adult on an stop playing or she will send the police an he will get in trouble. The kid hung up scared and 4 hour later called again an was treated the same way but an officer finally came an his mom is dead now. The union lady defended the operator! WTF??? Did you hear this? Jets28
wow, that is bizzarre!!!!!!!!!!! how can you not take every call seriously?....because "they are under manned there and couldn't just dispatch police or an ambulance at will"....since the little boy didn't produce an adult they figured he was prank calling. Its so sad. the little boy said he just rather have his mom back.
Lady Jet
I was reading more on this today, and apparently there have been other problems with the 9-11 there. One poor woman was shot in the head by her husband. Amazingly, she was able to call 9-11, but the operator first asked her if she had a mental problem, and then asked her to put her husband on the phone. WTH???? No help for 3 hours, her son in another state finally had to call. I'm sure they get more than their fair share of morons calling in with stupid nonsense, but c'mon. Unfortunately the silly and stupid calls come with the territory, and if you're that burned out on it that you're questioning the legitimacy of calls it's time to take a break and let someone else handle the calls. People who abuse the system with nonsense should also be heavily fined.
The Gun Of Bavaria
I don't work for the Detroit Police Department so I can say this with ease. DPD is easily one of the worst ran, funded, supplied, trained and adeqate police departments in the nation. Nothing that occures within that department suprises me. Nothing. They are garbage.
