Jetfan13
and what do you think of this Jaguars | F. Taylor to workout on his own this year Tue, 11 Apr 2006 06:26:48 -0700 <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/2">Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars RB Fred Taylor attended the start of the team's offseason conditioning program Monday, April 10, but did not take part and said he doesn't plan to participate in the program this year. Taylor has decided to do specialized workouts with a private company near his offseason home in Davie, Florida. "I worked out with the team for eight years, and it might sound a little selfish, but now it's time for Fred to take care of Fred," said Taylor, who looks noticeably slimmer at about 225 pounds. 124
It's time for Fred to take care of Fred? This guy is an injury waiting to happen and has never been a top 10 RB in the league. I find it pretty funny.
Sperm Edwards
He does sound like a complete ass, particularly since Jax gave him a nice little bonus not long ago when many thought they were better off just releasing him. But to say that he was never a top-10 RB is nonsense. The guy was as dangerous as anyone in the league in his prime & you'd agree if you saw him play back then. Problem was his prime was almost never for 16 games. But he had plenty of power and was VERY fast; broke tackles all over the place. When he was healthy, you could've made an argument back then that he was the best RB in the league.

I saw him play throughout his entire career and he has NEVER been a Top 10 RB. Staying healthy is something that adds into being a Top teir back. An argument that he was the best back in the league? That's the nonsense.

Sperm Edwards
so he is ALOT like Abe..how would you compare the 2 situations Spermy? They're both talented pieces of crap who should thank their lucky stars there's such a thing as football so they don't have to do a real job. They also sit out games when their vaginae are inflamed to make sure they don't risk an injury that would cost them more $. 124, Taylor was as dangerous as they came. In '98 he was worlds better than Martin & almost everyone else. Also has (or at least had) the NFL record for consecutive 100-yd games in a season. And 4.6 ypc is an AVERAGE for him over his career. I never said he WAS the best back in the NFL, but many considered him to be such at the time. Name 10 RB's who were better in each of 1998, 2000, 2003. DireJet38
For some reason these comments don't sting as much as those from abe...maybe because taylor has played through a string of injuries and has always put up solid numbers not to mention he was regarded as one of the most underrated players in an all nfl player poll. rajensen088
so he is ALOT like Abe..how would you compare the 2 situations Spermy? John Abraham attended all off season workout programs and mini camps his entire career when he was under contract. He wasn't under contract last year, didn't hold out because he didn't have a signed contract and didn't play in the 2004 playoffs because he was injured. The only comparison is Jet fans crapping all over any player who leaves. Get over it.

Suck it up, play worth your money, and don't quit on your team in the PLAYOFFS. That's what I don't get. The playoffs, the most important part of the season, and he sits because he was sick. What a dick. He is a selfish bastard, get over it.

I was curious to see how the people here that do crap all over Abe viewed the same situation when it concerned someone on another team..
